Sunday Selections was originally brought to us by Kim, of Frogpondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could post previously unused photos languishing in their files. Huge thanks to Cie who gave me this wonderful Sunday Selections image.
The meme was then continued by River at Drifting through life.
Sadly she has now stepped aside (though she will join us some weeks),
and I have accepted the mantle.
The
rules are so simple as to be almost non-existent. Post some photos
under the title Sunday Selections and link back to me. Sorry I still
haven't succeeded in working out how to do a blog hop. Clicking on any of the photos will make them embiggen.
I
usually run with a theme. Sorry for my recent absence from the blogosphere. Things went a bit pear shaped (as an aside where does that phrase come from?).
I have been in hospital again twice since I last wrote. A massive infection and then an allergy to an antibiotic (and a sensitivity to another). I will need both chemotherapy and radiation treatment but that cannot start until the infections have been kicked to the curb. I have appointments with the respective teams in the next ten days.
For the moment I am home again and glad to be here.
And it is STILL a beautiful world.

DeleteSo sorry to hear about the infections and sensitivities.. I too have sensitivities to some antibiotics (makes taking new ones a bit scary). I have had radiation for Breast cancer, but refused chemo (and since my BC was caught early stages - refusing was an option). Sending good vibes and prayers your way... and hopefully all will be well. And I agree (despite it all), the world is still a wonderful place.
ReplyDeleteRian: I hear you on the scary factor with new antibiotics. The one I am allergic too gave truly nasty reactions. I am grateful it was oral and not one of the many they are feeding me intravenously. The initial discussions with the chemo/radiation teams will discuss prognosis and we can go from there. I suspect I will take their advice unless the prognosis is bad. And hooray for our wonderful world.
