I did think of you when they started to bloom, because I know you have a fondness for them.
If people voted on our public art I am pretty certain there would be less of it, and that it would be very conventional. Some of the art that is here now I love, some I dislike and some I don't understand. And I love that it is there. So, no consensus art for me.Elephant's Childhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06650565833097914052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7516733121956849207.post-3081264381467613812015-08-16T03:12:48.286+10:002015-08-16T03:12:48.286+10:00Daffodils already? Last year, I planted fifty bulbs, and they certainly ARE beautiful.

“We had some rain overnight, and the day dawned grey. Uniformly grey. Dismally grey with a slow dribble of chilly drops falling from the sky.”

This describes a Willamette Vally winter.

I’m always surprised by how much public are there is where you are. Some of it, I like well enough, but some I find appalling too. I would like to see people get a chance to vote on what they want (at least the major projects) instead of having it thrust on them by committees that appear more interested in being trendy than beautiful.Snowbrushhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00436087215476479042noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7516733121956849207.post-46174026270135876452015-08-03T19:36:49.941+10:002015-08-03T19:36:49.941+10:00orvokki: It is fun isn't it?orvokki: It is fun isn't it?Elephant's Childhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06650565833097914052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7516733121956849207.post-45779881401843077302015-08-03T18:02:57.769+10:002015-08-03T18:02:57.769+10:00What a lovely street art.
