Monday Photo Prompt - responses to two incredible photos

This first photo was posted by mybabyjohn/Delores at thefeatherednest.

Innate fragility
Into infinity.

The second, no less inspiring image was posted by Susan Kane at thecontemplativecat.

 Flash Fiction:  50 Words.

The Troll under the Bridge is an honoured position which has been handed down through my family for more generations than your kind will know.  We record the truth, yet it is your lies which are remembered.  Therefore, I will relish and savour the next bridge crosser with real pleasure.

    1. mybabyjohn/Delores: Thank you. Little planes give me the heeby-jeebies. I can appreciate their beauty. From a distance. And bridges and trolls go together - in my head anyway.

  3. And NOW I have a fear of bridges. Great.

    :-)

Hmm. Also looks like Delores has said everything I wanted to say. Lovely post.

    1. Pearl: I see no reason why others shouldn't share my distrust of bridges. Thanks.

  6. Two brilliant responses. I tend to favour the first: it's snappy and clean and makes its point beautifully with its few words - though my bet is that the second was the more teasing on the author. Whatever: a double triumph. (And praise, too, for the image makers!)

    1. Dave King: Thank you - compliments from you are high praise indeed. You are right - the second was harder to craft, and is also the one I am least happy with.

  7. I like them both, but the second photo is blurry on my screen.

I used to call myself The Troll Under The Bridge many years ago when working as an Office Manager. It seemed like the bulk of my day was spent keeping 'undesirables' out of my boss's office!

    1. Kath: I am very glad that you understand that trolls just have a job to do. I have to ask though - how did you keep the undesirables away?

  8. Ooh, yes, nice word play and sentiment for the plane. I just crossed over a troll bridge this weekend... uncanny!

  11. Excellent! I love the troll take! The yellow plane--so well stated. You are an artist.

  14. Aww, I dug the "into infinity." Very nice, especially for one of the simplest of our flying models.

    1. John Wiswell: I sadly fear that far too many of the little planes did disappear into infinity. And nobody would be able to cajole me into one.

  15. I LOVE what you came up with for the bridge photo! I like all of them, but the bridge one is definitely my favorite. One of these weeks I will get it together and come up with something for all of the photos, but for roght now I'm just sticking with one photo at a time. And I'm very impressed that you actually made the quilt, that is cool.
