Time out

I am feeling a little bit overwhelmed.  Which I suspect is like a little pregnant.

I have been running on empty for too long.  I am tired to the point of nausea, my eye-balls are sweaty and my brain has retired from the fray.

For the next little while I am going to be absent from the blogosphere while I move myself towards the top of the nurturing required queue.  I will be back in the fullness of time.

  5. I suspect a lot of us have been running on empty, you've had the smaller portion and his sister, not to mention all those bulbs, others have had more on their plates than they can cope with, many are taking a step back from the computer. I think we'll all feel better for it. Take all the time you need.

  17. Such a wise move. I shall picture you doing wonderfully nurturing things, like taking a long bath, or a long walk, looking up at the sky, or at a garden, having a long and luxurious lunch, or a long and luxurious nap. Reading, resting. Take care of yourself dear lady, and worry not about us. We await your return, but not impatiently.

  23. DEar EC, I'm glad you're taking care of yourself. We so need to listen to our bodies. I didn't used to do that and so in 2006 I began eighteen months of ill health with Meniere's Disease. That taught me mighty quick to stay attuned to what my body was telling me.

Rest, refresh your soul and your mind, and be good to yourself.

    Peace.

  24. Dear EC, there is nothing wrong with running on empty, except of course for not having the wisdom and courage to take a stand and take care of yourself when it is clearly needed. Anything or anyone that can't patiently wait for your healthy return probably isn't worth bothering about. Hope to see you back in this space not a moment before you are ready and able. Meantime, perhaps a little parcel being sent from Vermont on Tuesday will arrive in time to bring you some extra special healing? Be well.

  32. I understand also, from personal experience. I know I comment rarely here or for that matter anywhere or blog these days as I am into my own personal reserve tank! Whilst I am all but silent on the blogosphere, perhaps we can silently gain strength together. Safe in the knowledge that despite the quiet you will know that I am willing you to gain strength with empathy. I will miss reading your posts. Take care, take time, be kind to yourself. x

  38. I can't understand why you feel this way, after all Canberra has just had the coldest May mornings for fifty years. I thought there would be a spring in your step and laughter at all of us freezing to frostiness.
Too much cold? Will I stop casting snow spells now?

Indeed, the main thing is that you take good care of you. Your priorities reveal a healthy attitude. Return when the time is right without creating pressure on yourself. I have every confidence that your blogging friends eagerly await your return:)
