The Smaller Portion goes into surgery to replace the ileostomy at one o'clock today. There will be at least another one and probably two operations after this. The next operation is tentatively scheduled for three months from now. Joy and bliss.
Oh it just doesn't seem to end ... but it will and things will get back to some sort of normal. In the mean time I will pray that all goes well for both of you. I am so sorry you are having such a difficult time. Wish I could be there to help out ...

Dear EC, I'm writing this on Monday. I hope the operation went well and that SM will be home soon and will be patient with his recovery. And I hope you are taking some time for yourself--to just be. Peace.
