The skinny portion and I went to Tulip Top Gardens today. As always we loved it and took perhaps fifteen million photos. When I have gone through this slightly exaggerated number of photos I will put up a post about the gardens, because they are simply beautiful.
The entry into the gardens is down a steep slope flanked by blossom trees. As we turned right at the bottom I started to giggle. Canberra is the city closest to Tulip Top Gardens and rightly proud of the arboretum it is developing.

DeleteWhat a fabulous way to recycle your old bras. And such pretty bras they are. I never would have thought of doing that. I'm so glad you were there with your camera.
ReplyDeleteRiver: They looked a little too jazzy to be old bras, but it was a truly brilliant idea. Some of their cups were running over though.

DeleteWhat a unique way to display ones blossoms. It gives me an idea for next spring, however, this might give my relatives a reason to cart me off to the nearest rest home.

DeleteDear EC, this bit of "silliness" really delighted me. And not only did I get to laugh, but I got to see the variety of materials from which bras are made today. Mine are the old standbys--white or black. These show real imagination! Peace.

Pearl: I don't think that I have ever been drunk enough to take off my bra in a public place. And I don't think it would help in my overwhelming symptom of wanting a place to lie down and sleep either. Obviously I need to test this theory further...(not).

ReplyDeleteCherryPie: I believe it was the daughter of the owners who thought of it. The owners (who cannot be spring chickens) plant the hundreds of bulbs and annuals by hand themselves each year. A mammoth undertaking.
DeleteI have seen old shoe gardens, where someone has planted flowers in artistically arranged old shoes around their garden. But a bra garden, now that is funny and pretty!
