Like River I usually run with a theme. This week I am returning to one of my long-standinginterests obsessions, the sky.

A few mornings later we had a colder beauty.
Neither the fog nor the frost lifted until after eleven.
Mad woman with camera dances were involved both days.. Of course.

DeleteGentle late afternoon hues as the sun bids its farewell for another day. We had fog earlier in the week but, of course, our morning temps haven't been as low as yours. I don't know if we've had any frosts as yet...probably a couple in the lower lying areas.
ReplyDeleteWe had a few light showers on and off during the week, with more promised throughout this coming week. I don't mind the showers or the cooler weather...I love both.

DeleteI saw some huge blackberries at the farmers market. Hubby can't eat due to the tiny seeds. The first picture reminds me of how tasty they would be...your picture reminds me of a bowl of blackberry sherbert!

ReplyDeletewhiteangel: I am fond of fog too. Except if we have to drive in it. I can remember thick fogs where we could only see the yellow lines on the road, not the edges, not other cars. Mystery and magic.

DeleteThe sunsets often are lovely, but very brief. Ten minutes tops from the first glow, and often less.

Of course walking through a morning like that, or dancing with a camera, does tend to warm a body nicely; and it makes getting back inside such a pleasure.
River: We get the papers delivered, so I am going out anyway. I just often time it so that I go out (camera in hand) to greet the dawn.
DeleteWhen one see an outstanding changing second by second amazing specticle like your shots show here, your heart nearly bursts open with the magnificence of what is happening before your eyes and yes your feet want to dance as well as your memories wants to remember it for all the days that are dull. Themisty morning is such a contrast but in a different way, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMargaret Adamson: It is always a joy. The sun has nearly vanished tonight, leaving a moody mauve plastered across the sky. Also lovely. There are a LOT of files on my computer with the labels Dawn and Dusk.
DeleteI do like a good sunset and that is a super one! Such vivid colours. I also love a decent frost which we sadly seem to get less of every winter.When I visited Canberra many years ago I was struck by how similar it was to where we lived at the time in the Conejo Valley in California. Mountains ringing a valley. Take a look at a photo of that area - they are similar aren't they?

Craig: How right you are. More two story houses, but the city nestled into the valley and surrounded by the mountains is very familiar. We still get some good crunchy frosts. A doozy is predicted for Friday of this week, and I intend to try and freeze bubbles again.
