Like River I usually run with a theme. This week? We have had some (mostly) very welcome rain recently. So I am sharing some wet photos. Some from the Out of the Shadow's walk I did yesterday (thank you for your comments on that post - it is an issue which is very important to me) and some from our garden the week before.
After the walk finished I had a choice of going to an expensive breakfast with other participants or heading home. It was an easy decision. There was a lot of emotion about and I was all peopled out and didn't feel like spending buckets of money either. I have complained about our bus system before, and on weekends it is even more unreliable. I would have had a wait of over an hour before the next bus into town, so I continued walking...
And then I got lucky, and got a lift for the last few blocks into town where I caught a bus home. And only had to wait twenty minutes for it.

The rain shots are great! Got to love the rain these days. There's flooding in parts of the US but we haven't had much this summer.

DeleteIt looks like Spring is waking up there. The photos are beautiful, but reminds me that in a few weeks I will be raking and raking and raking as the leaves fall. (OK ours do not fall, they dump and though we have very few trees in our yard our neighbors have many and they share.And share and share>)

orvokki: Thank you. I liked the water droplets too. The buses run more frequently on week days, but the weekend service are woeful - particularly early or late.

ReplyDeleteOur bus service in Perth's suburbs is definitely not good on weekends altho' OK on weekdays. Our train services are like that too.
I have to be honest and say I can't remember the last time I was on a bus or train for that matter. I am not sure if I could actually get on the bus unless the have put in more steps. I'm bad enough getting in and out of some doorways!!!
Mimsie: On lots of our buses the steps can be lowered by the driver (if they feel like it) which makes a huge difference. Weekend bus services are dreadful. The stops closest to me are simply not operational, which means a walk of over a kilometre, and the frequency is seriously reduced too.
DeleteSuch beautiful rainy photos, EC, and your garden is looking wonderful. Mine is wonderful in parts, weedy jungle in others, so I try to ignore the weedy bits. I'm just loving the bulbs, especially the snowflakes (still snowdrops in my mind), and the daffodils. I'm going to plant lots more of both... Catalogue arrived today so I'm making big decisions.
