ReplyDeleteAndrew: Like many small birds, the rosellas move quickly and are difficult to capture with a camera. We have had some great skies. I would like some rain to go with the cloud though.

DeleteOh my goodness! The eastern rosella is beautiful and so colorful! I also enjoyed the sky and flora photos. I sorta felt like all three created the feeling one has at sunset. The bright full promise, then beauty and closing moment.

DeleteDo you have budgies where you live? I saw a video the other day and it showed thousands and thousands of them in a flock. I didn't know they lived that way.
ReplyDeleteBirdie: We don't have budgies close to us here, but in one of our homes we often saw flocks with hundreds of them. Which is an amazing and beautiful sight. Thousands at once would be mind-blowing.

ReplyDeleteThe Eastern Rosella is a very pretty bird. I'm jealous of your zygo cactus, I was never able to have one flower for me, and they didn't live long either. Under or over watering, I'll never know.
River: This isn't a zygote cactus. It is a succulent of sorts and thrives on neglect. Would you like a cutting? I have them in hanging pots and they get hot, they get dry, they get frosted on - and still flower.
DeleteI would love a cutting, unless it is illegal to send one across the border. I might get lucky and have it grow and flower. I have a hook attached to the outside of the back porch, it was there when I moved in and I could put a hanging basket there.

How fortunate we are to be so surrounded by this beauty. And, yes, grief is gray, but I believe it's that way to give us some time to turn inward, reflect and come to terms with what life has just handed us.
