Sunday Selections #381

Sunday Selections was originally brought to us by Kim, of Frogpondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could post previously unused photos languishing in their files.

The meme is now continued by River at Drifting through life.  The rules are so simple as to be almost non-existent.  Post some photos under the title Sunday Selections and link back to River.  Clicking on any of the photos will make them embiggen.

Like River I usually run with a theme.  We are still in busy mode.  The roofers were coming on Monday just gone.  They didn't.  Ditto Tuesday.  I finally tracked them down on Wednesay - 'We will be there first thing Monday'.  So naturally they arrived just after I left to go to Lifeline on Thursday.

Poor Jazz.  He has been suffering.  He doesn't like visitors at the best of times.  And noisy visitors are even worse.  Hopefully by the middle of next week it will be largely over.

In the middle of the insanity last week we took a mental health break and headed down to the lake.

After watching the kangaroobies for a while we drove a little further and spent a happy half hour watching people revelling in the breeze.

Heart balm.

Hope the roofers finish and quick!

  2. I'm used to seeing pictures of Kangaroos, but seeing them reclining is just weird. It looks like they're half horse and half rabbit. Loved seeing them and the sailboats.

Lovely photographs of both animals and boats. I always like being beside water, healing somehow.

Hope the work is successfully completed real soon.

  8. Oh, boy! It's Sunday again already!

I, too, like you, would've needed a mental health break with all that was going on and not going on. I think I would've grabbed a tent (I don't have one) and set up camp down at the lake....at a quiet spot.

I hope, as planned, all the work is completed by the middle of this coming week...and then peace reigns eternal again, for you, and for Jazz. A cuddle or three for Jazz from me. :)

    1. Lee: The 'not going on' was seriously doing my head in. The lake was the perfect antidote.
Fingers and toes crossed the work is completed next week but I won't hold my breath (blue is not my colour).
Jazz is a happy chappy this morning. NO workmen. Cuddles to your pair too.

  10. Excellent pictures! I can feel the water spray from here :)

Roofing is horribly invasive in the acoustic sense. I'm with Jazz on that one. My husband did our roof over two summers, and it was less noisy with only one person hammering but it lasted longer - ha ha

I do hope your workmen arrive promptly, work hard, and leave on schedule. That, at least, would minimize the irritation!

    1. jenny_o: It is incredibly noisy isn't it? Though yesterday the smaller portion slept through three hours of it. Which blew me away. I would love to sleep that soundly.
