Sunday Selections was originally brought to us by Kim, of Frogpondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could post previously unused photos languishing in their files. Huge thanks to Cie who gave me this wonderful Sunday Selections image.
The meme was then continued by River at Drifting through life. Sadly she has now stepped aside (though she will join us some weeks), and I have accepted the mantle.
The rules are so simple as to be almost non-existent. Post some photos under the title Sunday Selections and link back to me. Clicking on any of the photos will make them embiggen.
I usually run with a theme.This week I am reverting to type. We have had yet more grey days and my body is still behaving badly. However, I have delighted in our dawns. Some days have proved the truth of 'red in the morning, shepherds take warning'. Every day last week there were sheep/graziers warnings in place. Other days have just been grey. And I have been out with the camera shortly after first light. There have to be some benefits to the kitty litter excursions.

ReplyDeleteThe sky is wonderful, and I forget how to tell the difference between sunset and sunrise, I think it's in the colour, will have to look it up!

Margaret D: Our sunrises are often (but not always) subtler than our sunsets. It will a while since we have had Shepard's delight skies here.

DeleteHi EC - early mornings are always good ... I'm not so good with them now - and really feel chilly as it's our mid-summer - WHAT?! Ridiculous ... ah well - we can talk about the weather and the beautiful colours, the cumbersome clouds, scampering across the sky rather than a few other subjects. Tomorrow I give a talk by George Stubbs on his horses et al - 'all drawn from nature' was his strap line ... which I forgot to include in my slide presentation ... but the art and knowledge we get from the man is extraordinary ... also large cats - apologies to Odie and Batty! ReplyDeleteKim: We are usually colder than this at this time of year. MS means that while I do get cold it takes a long time and lower temperatures for me to feel it. Which means I can revel in wintry dawns.
