Sunday Selections #379

Sunday Selections was originally brought to us by Kim, of Frogpondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could post previously unused photos languishing in their files.

The meme is now continued by River at Drifting through life.  The rules are so simple as to be almost non-existent.  Post some photos under the title Sunday Selections and link back to River.  Clicking on any of the photos will make them embiggen.

Like River I usually run with a theme. We did get to the Museum in our busy week but the PC is behaving badly so I will save those photos for a while.  Instead I am sharing some of the autumnal colour in our neighbourhood.  It has not only been surprisingly warm (until the last couple of days) it has also been very, very dry.  The yellow colours have suffered.  They are not as bright as usual and tend to go brown and fall very quickly.

D

I am finishing with a Tree Dahlia.  Despite a couple of cold days we have not yet had a frost, so they are coming into triumphant bloom.

I do enjoy Aboreal Fireworks.  They are definitely a decided plus to living somewhere which gets Autumn.
