Like River I usually run with a theme. We had more blessed rain on Thursday, and clouds (but no rain) on Friday. And both sunsets were spectacular.
Thursday.
By Friday evening I was seriously knackered. I couldn't get words out, and was literally running into things and falling over. So I decided that I was going to bed. Shortly after seven. When I wandered into the bedroom and looked out the french doors I delayed my early bed time and rushed out to do a wobbly mad woman with camera dance. His high and skinniness stuck his head out of doors too - and came out to revel in the spectacle. In my usual restrained fashion rather a lot of photos follow.

The bathroom is still not usable, but some positive progress has been made. Perhaps by Tuesday we will be free of builders, electricians, painters, plumbers and their ilk...

Lee: A bathroom party has charm. I am not holding my breath for Tuesday, but it does look as if it will be soon(ish). And the furry overlords will be even happier than I am. As well as piddling up a storm poor Jazz is growling at any car which slows down near the house.

DeleteThe twin trees in the center of the first two pictures (and some of the rest) remind me so much of the view from my childhood home here in Canada. And somewhere I have a print of a sunset with those trees in it, with the sky nearly the same colour as yours in these photos. I haven't seen a real sunset in years, so it's a good thing I have yours to enjoy!

Alexia: I really didn't have the energy to take them. I was so very tired I was nauseaus. And so glad that I found the drive and the energy. And looked out to see that sky. Fingers and toes crossed for Tuesday, but it is close now.

DeleteAmazing yes! I love the one with the power lines in the bottom left corner and two photos down is a dinosaur cloud! I love them all. We've had a grey day today, warm, a little muggy, but not unbearable and half an hour ago I heard thunder, so I hope for rain tonight.

My 91yo (nearly 92) ex sister-in-law rang me from Canberra yesterday and said it had been quite hot and they had been changing their aircon from heating to cooling during the week.
Glad to know you had some wonderful rain. We were promised some but it wasn't very plentiful unfortunately. Warmer weather on it way in Perth.
Mimsie: Your ex sister-in-law was right. It has been too hot for my liking. Summer is on its way. We didn't get a lot of rain, but it was welcome. And I hope that this summer is much, much gentler your way.

DeleteI hate builders around the place. I have now been waiting 3 months to have my doorway finished. I know the feeling of tottering, until yesterday I was doing the same, then the iron supplement kicked in and now I feel much more stable and less depressed as well. That was truly a spectacular sunset, probably just to buck you up.
ReplyDeleteArija: I am so glad that the iron supplement helped you. My iron levels are very high (almost too high) so that isn't a solution for me. Rather a lot of sleep wouldn't hurt. And that sunset DID cheer me up. A gift.
DeleteWe had a renovation done after a burst pipe and it took a month. I was so glad to see the workers go. I want to walk around without a bra in my own home!
