Sunday Selections, brought to us by Kim, of Frogpondsrock, is an ongoing theme where participants post previously unused photos languishing in their files.
Anyone can join in, just post your photos under the Sunday Selections title, link back to Kim, then add your name to her Linky list at Frogpondsrock.
Though this week, just to be tricky, it is being hosted by Veronica from Sleepless Nights.
Earlier this week the sunset put a soft pink glow into the sky so I headed outside. My hands were obviously shaking when I took the first shot - but I like the effect it created, so I have kept it. Ampersand Duck commented on yesterday's post that for a wobbly person I took still pictures. That she is not always right is proved by this next shot. Clicking on any of the photos will make them larger.

That first photo looks like dozens of tiny LED butterflies have landed in your tree! Sunsets bring beautiful colour combinations don't they?
ReplyDeleteI really like the second one:)
ReplyDeleteI seem to always miss sunset, think it must always be cooking/dinner time :(
River: Thank you. That is a lovely description of my error. Hypocrite that I am, if someone painted sunsets in a fraction of the colours in which they occur naturally I would say that they were not real.
ReplyDeletepermanently amanda: I love them, and keep looking out the kitchen window. If it looks good, I drop everything to go and see.
I dont' know why, but apparently I have a thing for slightly warbley pictures - that top one is just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI love the wobbly effect on the first photo. Your still photos are great, too. Colourful skies always make me want to take my camera out.
ReplyDeleteHi EC,
ReplyDeleteNice photos - lovely colours.
:-)
Cheers
PM
It's art! I love them!
ReplyDeleteI think the first picture looks like lots of birds flying. It's really beautiful! And that sunset, amazing colors!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, wobbly and all. With my intention tremors, a lot of my pics look like your first one, so i'm used to shots like that, and think they are quite artistic!!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely colors in those skies. Very enjoyable images, all of them!
ReplyDeleteMad Cat Lady: Error or not, I liked it. Glad you did too.
ReplyDeletemuminsearch: Welcome and thanks.
PM: The sky puts on some good shows doesn't it?
Strayer: Thanks.
DJan: Thanks. I really liked my error, and am glad other people do to.
Karen: Yup. Make the best of life.
Denise: Thank you.
Bonza photos of a pink sunset which doesn't happen to often but well worth photographying. Hope ya stop shaking real soon :-).
ReplyDeleteBewt shots. Great to see some gorgeous colour blanketing the capital.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky! Thanks for posting - wobbles and all!
ReplyDeleteWindsmoke: I think the pink comes from dust in the sky. It doesn't matter where it comes from, I love it.
ReplyDeleteMitzi: Thanks.
daisyfae: Wobbles are not going to stop me from much. Thanks.
I enjoy your sensibility!

I love your sunset photos, those colours (wobbly or otherwise) are magical ;)
ReplyDeleteOh How I miss Canberra and the sun setting beyond the Brindabellas. Lucky You!!! Wobbly or not they brought a tinge of nostalgia. BTW I have moved my blog over to wordpress if you'd like to drop in.
ReplyDeleteCloudia: Sensibility? Moi? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteJayne: It was very pretty, wasn't it.
Christine: Canberra is a lovely city. Severely underrated. Thanks for the advice that you had shifted.
You have beautiful photos even if you have a wobbly hand...It makes for neat effects
ReplyDeleteKim @ Stuff: I liked this one too - usually I just hit delete.
ReplyDeleteOf course, I love the sunrise/sunset pictures. It's a theme of mine. It seems either end of the day time stands still. That was probably why you wobbled. It was the earth pausing for a moment.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics. Thanks
barbfroman: What a wonderful idea. 'My hands were not shaking, the earth just stopped moving'. Love it. And will probably use it.
ReplyDeleteLove the colours in your sky!
ReplyDeleteladyfi: Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sky! I actually thought the top one was of a fire at first (!).
ReplyDeleteBack when I was first starting to have problems with my hands and still believing physical therapy might help, I mentioned to the occupational therapist once that my photographs were now coming out all blurry, and was there something that would help me use my camera better, since my camera was important to me? In a nasty tone she said, "You know, some people here can't work because of their problems." She implied she couldn't believe I was wasting her time with something so stupid and trivial. (Not long before I'd had my photo-based artwork accepted into a major image library. It wouldn't have paid our grocery bill, but it was important to me.) I now have a camera with image stabilization, which is a really wonderful thing.
I love your pics, whatever form they come in.
Paper Chipmunk: Sad to say I find that the occupational therapists/physical therapists are among the least sympathetic and least useful people I have been forced to deal with. I know that other people are worse off, but this does not mean that my problems are insignificant. And had the rotten woman even enquired what your occupation was before she came out with that sweeping and stupid statement? Grrr. Painful hemorrhoids to her.
ReplyDeleteThese are absolutely stunning. When I glanced at the first picture I thought it was a forest fire, so I'm glad that's not the case. I'm going to use the 4th one down as a colour palette for my next pendant. Thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteAll Consuming: The colours in the sky are amazing so often. You realise that I want to see pictures of that next pendant don't you?
ReplyDeleteHa! Of course. You shall indeed. That will make a muse. Which is a musing that's quite amusing.
ReplyDelete*Has gone a bit 'Edward Lear' thanks to some crazy new pills.
