This post is for DJan, for Spectra and for me.
I love the corellas and they are visiting most days again. I am reposting the video of the loving pair grooming in the hope that DJan will be able to see it this time. (Warning: please turn your sound off before viewing the video. The television was on in the loungeroom and the sound track is completely inappropriate.)
Please turn your sound off/down here.

Oh, they really are such adorable birds. Lovely shots!
ReplyDeleteladyfi: They are an enchantment every day.
DeleteReally lovely. Sharp eye!
ReplyDeleteAustan: Thank you.
DeleteVery pretty! So loving!
ReplyDeleteTeresa: Loving is the only word we could find to describe their behaviour.
DeleteHow beautiful, and I actually like the sound track as the birds are completely oblivious.
ReplyDeleteCat Drawings: You are right - they simply didn't care. Thank you.
DeleteThey're beautiful birds and I wish I'd see some around here occasionally. I saw some white cockatoos recently though.
ReplyDeleteRiver: They are beautiful birds. We get the white cockatoos as well, but to be fair we encourage everything.
DeleteThey have such beautiful eyes. I love the film of the loving couple - what a view you have from your window! Truly amazing.
ReplyDeleteLynn: Lucky, lucky, lucky.
DeleteBeautiful, truly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDave King: A never ending joy.
DeleteWhat a joy it must be to have these wonderful birds visit you regularly!
ReplyDeleteRon Dudley: They are a joy. My next step is to learn some of your photographic magic.
Deletethese are stunning pictures!
ReplyDeletedaisyfae: Thank you.
Deleteso pretty.... and personally i sorta like the tv in the background... no i didn't turn my speakers off... that statement at the beginning of your post is like saying "don't push the red button..." lol
ReplyDeleteSherri: Why am I not surprised that you (and lots of others) did not turn off the speakers. On your own heads ... Glad you liked the corellas.
DeleteI turned my sound off like a good girl, so I just enjoyed the beautiful birds grooming each other. Thanks so much for the repost, I truly enjoy these birds. :-)
ReplyDeleteDJan: I am so pleased that you could see them grooming this time. Thank you.
DeleteJust lovely. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteJoanne: Thank you. I am glad you liked them.
DeleteThey always look happy, with those smiling beaks of theirs.
ReplyDeleteKath: With food here anytime they want it, they have a fair amount to be happy about, though I agree with you they are happy looking birds.
DeleteDear EC,
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to have been away for almost three weeks of blogging. I hope to catch up. I read through your postings for the last few weeks and so liked the one on Jewel and Jazz! I laughed out loud at the video! And so enjoyed the boxes. Yes, they can be so different.
As you know I'm a real cat lover. I live now with Matthew (tiger), Maggie (long-haired calico), and Ellie (brindle). They are the soul of our home. And I indulge them, as you said you did, shamelessly!
Peace.
Peace.
Dee: No need for apologies. There is no compulsion to visit - I am very glad you liked Jewel and her most favourite toy. I like your description of your cats as the soul of your home. Thank you.
DeleteThe feathering on their heads always weirds me out just a little. Reminds me of the teeth of a hammer, if recreated with feathers. And I adored you warning us to turn off the sound!
ReplyDeleteJohn Wiswell: I see exactly what you mean about the teeth of the hammer. My partner says that corellas and galahs make him think of dinosaurs when they have their crests up.
DeleteAwww!
ReplyDeleteI keep imagining a couple of these nesting in a tree near my house...
Pearl
Pearl: They are noisy, they are destructive and we love them.
DeleteI daresay the Time Team folk would be highly amused... great pictures though.
ReplyDeleteChristine: I think you are right about the amusement of the Time Team. Just the same I was happy to ignore them in favour of the corellas.
DeleteOh what a happy couple! It seems they are both smiling, doesn't it? Thanks for these. Peace...
ReplyDeleteLinda: Aren't they just wonderful?
DeleteA couple of years back a flock of 500+ descended on our neighbourhood. Seriously rowdy.
ReplyDeleteJ Cosmo Newberry: Wow. That would have been very noisy indeed. We get flocks of up to fifty and that is quite noisy enough.
DeleteOh My, they are so sweet and beautiful!! I have never seen such a thing as this. Thank you so much for sharing it and for being such a wonderful friend to me. You a truly a gem and such a blessing.
ReplyDeleteJenn June: Thank you.
DeleteAwww - those two birdies seriousy love each other. This is a classic example of a symbiotic relationship - one beak preening the other... Your bird photos always make me happy. But this video is wonderful icing on the cake today. How lucky you are to see all of this from your lounge!
ReplyDeleteSpectra: I thought (hoped) you would like these shots. And yes, we are so lucky to be able to look out the window and see displays like this.
DeleteOh how I would love to have your Corellas visit me every day. They are such pretty birds with full of character.
ReplyDeleteDenise: I love them, but some of your birds have a heap of beauty and character as well.
DeleteThe birds that visit my yard are two crows, scrub jays, starlings (an unwanted invader from europe) and Mourning Doves. They are, by comparison to your colorful visitors, boring!
ReplyDeleteStrayer: Thanks. Crows are super intelligent birds and I like to see them. I don't know your scrub jays or Mourning Doves and starlings have infiltrated everywhere.
Delete--Just like Heaven ;)
ReplyDeleteLovely, E. Xxxx
My Inner Chick: Thank you - they are a joy.
DeleteI love your corellas! You can post those photos many times over!
ReplyDeleteSusan Kane: Thank you. I love them, but don't expect others to be quite as besotted.
DeleteAbsolutely gorgeous!!!!
ReplyDeleteNickyHW: Thank you.
