As usual I am running with a theme. And for something completely different, it is birds again. This little gem has been visiting us for the last few days, and we are happy to see him. He is called the Common Bronzewing pigeon, and is apparently found in most parts of Australia but I cannot remember ever seeing him before.
I think he is truly beautiful.
The colours on his wings are particularly spectacular.

DeleteI reckon he stopped by for a feed and a drink on his way to somewhere else down the track. You could call his wings Rainbow Wings :-).

River: I knew nothing about him either before we looked him up after his first appearance a few days ago. He was back this evening which is lovely. Birds have become a bit of an obsession...
