I will be bowing out for a bit (again).
We are on our own again - which has some very big pluses.
However, the smaller portion's recovery is very far from smooth, in uncomfortable and unpleasant ways.
Courtesy of his sister I have a chest infection which is not (yet) responding to antibiotics. Joy and bliss.
Recalcitrant bodies and minds are ruling at the moment.
I will be back when I can.

Clicking on this poor wet galah to embiggen him will reveal just what misery looks like |

I'm so sorry to hear this, healing energies being sent your way and a big hug. Feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteSending you love and prayers, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteI have had good results with oregano oil capsules.
Aloha
Arggg, so sorry to hear this news. Take care of yourself! Sending healing energy and hugs from the Nortern Hemisphere.
ReplyDeleteXxx and hugs EC.
ReplyDeleteThat's no good at all, my friend; I hope you and the SP start to feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI am on my second lot of antibiotics, plus steroids, for a stubborn sinus infection, so I have some inkling of how you feel. At least a virtual hug carries no risk of infection ;)
(I think that that is just the galah's normal expression!)
EC I feel devastated for you both. Glad you are once only two but she could have left and taken that damned infection with her. Pity she didn't get some antibiotics and perhaps stop spreading the germs.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear the SP is having problems and hope the medical people can help.
I know you may not want to but is it possible to get some home help for a few days? Silver Chain or similar perhaps. I think you both need some assistance. I do worry so about you and am sending much love and as many positive vibes as is possible across this vast land of ours.
Poor wee galah....poor EC and SP. Not good. Get well, both of you, and hurry back to us.
People who walk around sick piss me off to no end. They think their illness is only affecting themselves. There are so many people that have weakened immune systems and these horrible viruses can kill them. Very least, stay at home and don't spread it. Anyway...
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself if you can. I know, easier said than done. Looking forward to your return. xo
Sorry you're not well and that recovery isn't progressing very well. Big hugs.
ReplyDeletePoor sodden galah! Seems to reflect what is going on at your place. Hope all sorts itself out soon.
ReplyDeleteSending you both healing thoughts . . .
So sorry to hear this.
ReplyDeleteWishing you both well soon and sending positive, healing energies your way xx
Man! You just can't catch a break, can you! I hope the meds start working soon. Nothing like being sick while you are taking care of another person trying to recover. Prayers said for you and SP.
ReplyDeleteOh my!!! So sorry - I do hope the meds kick in soon and that you both are on the road to recovery soon. That is indeed one miserable bird!
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll both be better soon. Is there someone who can look after both of you? It's hard when everyone in the house is unwell.
ReplyDeleteUsually sharing is a good thing, but not in this case. Sister should have removed herself from the house. I hope you get better very quickly and the smaller portion's road becomes easier.
ReplyDeleteYou posted quite the graphic to illustrate your plight. Keep warm and dry yourselves, and do nothing but recover.
ReplyDeleteShoot....it never rains but it pours....take care of each other and I'll hold happy, healing thoughts for you both.
ReplyDeleteYou have had such a difficult time of it this past year and my heart goes out to you. Please take care of yourself and I hope, EC, that you are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteYou know you will be in my heart and I'll be sending you transatlantic wishes for a complete recovery, for all of you. Hugs, too.
ReplyDelete--Sending hugs from Minnesota. XxOOO

ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
Hiss and spit about your chest infection! Sounds like the mask didn't work very well. Please try to get plenty of rest as you work with SP. We are all thinking good thoughts for you!
ReplyDeleteYou will be missed in the meantime, EC. But your welfare and that of SP are of most importance. I wish you both a speedy recovery. Come back soon...fitter than ever. Take good care.
ReplyDeletePraying for speedy recoveries for both of you! I'll save your usual seat at the Tiki Hut :)
ReplyDeleteI hope by now you are both feeling better. Life deals you some tough times!

ReplyDeleteDear EC, I've been neglecting your blog again, and I'm so sorry to read the latest news. I read back through your past four or five posts, too, so hopefully, I haven't missed too much. I say "ditto" to Mimsie's comment, too. From what all you've been through, for so many months, I swear....you are some kind of saint or angel! Take care of yourself first, because YOU must be well to help SP! Hugs from The Midwest of the USA!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you...
ReplyDeletePlease take care. I can only imagine how trying the smaller portions issues have been for you, and you must take care of yourself as well.
