Sunday
Selections was originally brought to us by Kim of Frogpondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could
post previously unused photos languishing in their files.
The meme is now continued by River at Drifting through life. The rules are so simple as to be almost non-existent. Post some photos under the title Sunday Selections and link back to River. Clicking on any of the photos will make them embiggen.
Like River I usually run with a theme. I have more photos from recent excursions to show you (lots of photos) but am reverting to a long standing obsession this week. The sky. A very, very vivid (and brief) sunset to be precise.
Going, going, gone.
I am still largely absent from the blogosphere, but hope to be back in the next few days.

Gorgeous sunset. Hope your eye is healing well. x
ReplyDeleteBea: Thank you. Slow and steady.
DeleteBeautiful beautiful sequence of photos,, we have done this very thing a few times, very satisfying, it warms my soul to see this series of photos, it’s snowing here😕
ReplyDeletelaurie: Stay warm, stay safe. And thank you.
DeleteGreat photos! I also like the idea of using unused photos for "Sunday Selections"!
ReplyDeleteMarkD60: Thank you. Perhaps you will join us next week? You would be very welcome.
DeleteNice Job!
ReplyDeleteCloudia: Thank you.
DeleteLoved these sunset photos!!
ReplyDeletefishducky: It was very brief, but sooooo beautiful.
DeleteBeautiful sunset photos. Hope you feel better.
ReplyDeleteJamie Ghione: Thank you.
DeleteI read the most interesting comment on phone wires in pictures. I hate them and to to great lengths to "get under the wire". This author said, they're there. They're life. Get over yourself.
ReplyDeleteI may have to do that.
Hurry back.
Joanne Noragon: Life does indeed include wires. And other pitfalls. Like you I try and avoid them. And often fail.
DeleteI love sunset pictures. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteMary Kirkland: So do I. Rather a lot.
DeleteThese are magnificent, Sue. You have the eye and talent of a wonderful photographer.
ReplyDeleteStarting Over, Accepting Changes - Maybe: Thank you. Digital photography has been a gift.
DeleteWhat a gorgeous sequence of photos. You have so much talent. Wondrous sunsets.
ReplyDeletemxtodis123: Thank you. I do love the sky - whatever the time of day or weather.
DeleteCracking sunset!
ReplyDeletedinahmow: It was.
DeleteThe sunset is gorgeous! Hope you are doing better!
ReplyDeleteAnne in the kitchen: Thank you. Mostly doing better. Some relapses.
DeleteAnd, like the sun, you will rise again...and that I look forward to.
ReplyDeleteI hope your eye is much better. I also hope you had an enjoyable time during your friend's visit. May the coming week shine brightly upon you. Cuddles to Jazz. :)
Lee: I had a lovely time with my friend. And the eye is mostly manageable. I hope you and your furry companions have a lovely week.
DeleteFabulous sunset EC.
ReplyDeleteBob Bushell: It was. Really, really fabulous.
DeleteGreat shots, EC. Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteAlexia: Thank you - on both counts.
DeleteThat is great! Nice series of shots.
ReplyDeleteAlex J. Cavanaugh: I was so grateful I was looking out the window at the right time to see the sky - and rush out with the camera.
DeleteThat series tells a beautiful story. Wonderful captures, EC. Hope you are having a lovely visit and that we'll see you back here soon. Hugs.
ReplyDeletejenny_o: Thank you. Nearly back.
DeleteBeautiful sun shots! It's just hiding, you know, and will pop back up any second now.
ReplyDelete;-)
Sandi: Thank you. The sun has been hiding well for the last week, skulking behind clouds. We know she is there though, and she makes fleeting appearances.
DeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI hope your eye is getting better.
Birdie: Thank you. The optometrist warned me it would be slow (up to six months). It hasn't got worse, for which I am grateful.
DeleteWhen the sun heads into the sunset, it moves so fast. Don't look away.
ReplyDeleteSusan Kane: Don't look away - and try not to blink.
DeleteYou are taking time for yourself, friends, and to enjoy sunsets, that's important. Nice captures.
ReplyDeletemessymimi: I hope I can ALWAYS make time for sunsets. And friends.
DeleteIt was a beautiful sunset!
ReplyDelete: )
Caterina: It was. And much more dramatic than the ones we usually see.
DeleteThat orange is just beautiful. thank you :)
ReplyDeleteNow that our days are longer, I may get out to the beach and get some ocean sunsets. Or at least one.
River: I hope you can get to the beach. Soon.
DeleteNice sunset time lapse.
ReplyDeleteStrayer: Thank you. Very little time involved though - less than five minutes across the whole series.

ReplyDeleteMarie Smith: It was lovely to see. Really lovely.
DeleteI love the last light of the day.
ReplyDeletemshatch: So do I. And the first light as well.
DeleteMy favorite subject. Come back soon.
ReplyDeleteRick Watson: Thank you. I am nearly back.
DeleteInteresting sequence of the sun hiding behind the hill.
ReplyDeleteShammickite: It RUSHED behind that hill.
DeleteBye bye, sun!
ReplyDeleteI hope you coming back soon means you're feeling a lot better. Thinking about you, EC.
John Wiswell: Thank you. I am getting there. Slowly.
DeleteAbsolutely beautiful. Love it. Take care.
ReplyDeleteMason Canyon: I loved it too - and thank you.
DeleteAs the sun sets, and soon rises again, may you disappear for only as long as it takes the sun to reappear. xoxo from AR, USA
ReplyDeletePatricia A. Laster: The sun has almost reappeared here (she has been hiding behind clouds) and I am almost back again too. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteHilary Melton-Butcher: Thank you. The visit was lovely, the eye is no worse, and I am a big fan of the moon. I hope it is smiling benignly on you.

DeleteYour photos always offer me a needed panacea.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself.
Rawknrobyn: Thank you - and you take care too.
DeleteWOW...you really captured the sun going down. Beautiful with the tree imagine in front of it.
ReplyDeleteSandy: I was lucky. I was just starting to prepare dinner and noticed a glow in the sky. So I rushed out camera in hand. Dinner was delayed (very slightly).
DeleteI hope you're doing well EC!
ReplyDeleteI love how you captured the sun going down! Very cool!!!
Big Hugs!

Sandra Cox: I would be excited to see Mars too. We have had too much cloud cover. No rain, but lots of clouds.
DeleteWow! Gorgeous photos. I hope you're enjoying your company. :)
ReplyDeleteSusan: I did enjoy the visit. Even Jazz warmed to our guest.

ReplyDeleteRO: Many thanks and many hugs.
DeleteWow - gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteLady Fi: I thought so too.
Deletehave you ever seen a green flash at sunset? i think it only happens when the sun is setting into the horizon. i just googled it and watched a couple of believable videos along with an obvious fake. i saw it faintly when we lived in Darwin
ReplyDeleteKim: I have read about it, but never seen it. For some reason (probably wrong) I had in my head that the sun had to be setting over water.
DeleteI think you're right. I was watching the sun setting over water in Darwin.
DeleteWonderful, so sorry I did not see this earlier. Hugs!
ReplyDeletee: Not a problem. I hope that Michael didn't affect you too much. Hugs gratefully received and returned.
DeleteGorgeous! I hope you are better, my friend.
ReplyDeleteLynn: Thank you. Getting there. Slowly.
