I usually run with a theme. This week (and next) I am going to be posting pictures from our Balloon Spectacular which overlaps the Enlighten festival. I am a confirmed balloon 'tragic' (Australian slang for someone with an obsession). The Balloon Spectacular was the last big event which went ahead before Covid restrictions hit us last year. It went ahead this year too - with some restrictions.
Most years as well as the lucky people who are taking to the air there are crowds of excited spectators to watch the balloons inflate and take off. This year numbers were restricted and places had to be reserved. I succeeded in getting tickets but the only day I succeeded the weather forecast was not good. With that in mind we headed out early (way too early for the smaller portion) a few days before our ticketed event to a vantage point by the lake where we could see the balloons fly even if we couldn't watch them inflate. We got lucky. On both days.
So I am going to present images from both days. Starting (out of chronological order) with the day we watched the balloons inflate. Co-incidentally it was the youngest of my brothers birthday. He is also a balloon tragic and I was very happy to be able to get tickets for him and his wife as well as for us. We no longer exchange presents (except for significant events) but this was a gift I was very glad to be able to give him (and him to receive).
Settle back with a beverage of choice. LOTS of photos follow.
Many of the balloons are BIG.
The building in the background is our National Library.
The excitement (and not just mine) was palpable.
Each year there is at least one feature balloon. This year it was Allycorn, brought to us from the US. Given that our borders are largely closed and that a fourteen day quarantine is compulsory for all international arrivals I am very appreciative of the time and effort involved.
Next week? Balloons in the air. Lots and lots of them.
For those of you who celebrate I hope your Easter is happy, healthy and blessed.
Hi EC - wonderful collection of balloons - I see them flying around and have had two land in the fields near by - not my home. Incredible range - and yes thank you to Allycorn and 'her' owners - for enduring quarantining and all other inconveniences for so many at the moment. Beautiful and great shots thank you and I hope next year ... life will be to some degree more normal.
ReplyDeleteYou too have a peaceful weekend ... Hilary
Hilary Melton-Butcher: I often see (and delight in) one or two balloons in the early morning throughout the year but the balloon spectacular takes it to a whole new level.
DeleteI am very grateful to all those who bring their balloons, particularly because it is a weather dependend event and some years the balloons barely fly. We were lucky this year.
I am so happy that the weather cooperated for you! (And secretly laughing at SP for his early morning grumbling)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots as always from your magic camera. Thank you for always sharing your adventures with us. :) Scritches to Jazz and hugs to you!
River Fairchild: I was very, very happy. And ignored (totally) the smaller person's grumbles. I saw the balloons again on my trip to the crisis line a few days later and smiled some more. Jazz is in psycho cat from hell mode at the moment - I will pass on your scritches when it is safe to do so.
DeleteWOW...oh how I'd LOVE to take flight in one of these stunning balloons!!
ReplyDeleteHow utterly delightful!!!😊😊
Hoping your Easter has been a fabulous one, and that you are well and happy. Hugs for Jazz!
Lots of love and hugs ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ygraine: I have flown in balloons and loved it. Watching them is 'nearly' as much fun. Easter has been pretty good so far - and I hope yours is filled with love, laughter and no medical treatments. Huge hugs.
DeleteWhat a spectacular event! We get the odd hot-air balloon drifting across our early morning skies, but never anything on that kind of scale. Enjoy the rest of the Easter weekend.
ReplyDeleteJohn "By Stargoose And Hanglands": Seeing dozens of balloons in the air fills me with excitement and joy. This even is one not to be missed in my calendar and most years I try and see it more than once.
DeleteThe pink unicorn looks like a very cheeky chap! Lovely to watch them all being inflated. I always worry that the fabric is going to catch fire but it's probably fireproof in some way, I hope so anyway.
ReplyDeleteShammickite: I assume they are, though doubt that they would survive flames directly on the fabric. Allycorn's designer said that his daughter had a lot of influence - and it is certainly fun.
DeleteGigantic balloon I hope the current climate will continue to improve, Happy Easter from England.
ReplyDeleteSteve: Fingers and toes crossed on the covid crisis. We have been lucky here but its impact continues to be felt.
DeleteWOW, BALLOONS, LOT OF 'EM, MY FAVOURITE, UNICORN, IT IS BREATHTAKING.
ReplyDeleteBob Bushell: How I wish you could have been here with us. It really was a treat. A giant treat.
DeleteYou have made my day with the inflation of that wonderful purple unicorn! Your lucky day has made mine, too!
ReplyDeleteDJan: Everyone who was there was wearing HUGE smiles. It is a wonderful start to the day - and looking at the myriad of photos I took triggers those smiles all over again.
DeleteThose balloons are so gorgeous! Happy Easter to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteMartha: Aren't they? And a very Happy Easter to you and your family.
DeleteGreat fun had by all and sundry by the looks of it! Up, up and away....! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you're enjoying the long weekend, EC...and that the coming week is a very pleasant one for you and yours. Cuddles to Jazz. :)
Lee: It was a delightful start to not one but two mornings. Long weekends don't make a great deal of difference to us now, but yes, we are enjoying it. I hope that you and the furry overlords are too.
DeleteHappy Easter EC. What a cool balloon show for everyone to enjoy. it must have been exciting to watch them take off into the sky. Great event all round to celebrate bros birthday.
ReplyDeleteSpacerGuy: It was the perfect way to celebrate that particular brother's special day. And was definitely exciting.
DeleteIt must be exciting to be there, on the ground, as the balloons are inflated. I look forward to the flight.
ReplyDeleteMarie Smith: I think it is a wonderful experience - but might be biased. There will be lots of photos of balloons in flight next week - I have literally hundreds of photos to choose from.
DeleteWow! Wow! and even more wows!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous event, I am so pleased that you were able to get tickets. So nice that your brother went too.
That unicorn is amazing, but then they really are all so nice and colourful.
Enjoy the rest of the Easter weekend, and have a great week ahead.
All the best Jan
Lowcarb team member ~Jan: We said wow a lot too. As we do every year. I am thrilled that we could go, and very glad to share it. I hope that you and your family have a wonderful Easter weekend.
DeleteThat looked like it was early in the morning. I'm mean reeeealy early. Did you just stay up? That's the only way I would make it to something like that.
ReplyDeleteMike: It is an early start to the day. Himself agrees with you about early starts. His preference is to spring out of bed at the crack of noon. I am an early riser and had some (malicious?) pleasure in rousting him out of bed. He did agree it was worth it. Eventually he agreed.
DeleteWow! What a comprehensive and envy-inducing post - so many lovely balloons. Of course, I think the pink unicorn is the best, but kudos to all the people who make the effort to bring and fly their balloons. I am very jealous.
ReplyDeleteI hope the coming week is a good one, that Jazz's mood improves, and that you are keeping well.
Alexia: Weren't they lovely? Allicorn made us all smile. The next post will feature some other 'special' balloons. Controversial special balloons.
DeleteJazz is always a cat of uncertain moods and giving him medication is challenging. I have more medical appointments (luckily Jazz does not) this week but am hopeful.
I hope that your Easter weekend is filled with joy.
How wonderful. I thought perhaps a cow. Then a horse. And then......a unicorn. Wow.
ReplyDeleteJoanne Noragon: Wasn't it wonderful to see Alicorn develop?
DeleteSo spectacular to see the balloons rising and then in the air. I've never been to a hot air balloon event, amazing and a bit scary for me to think about.
ReplyDeleteLinda Starr: I know that balloons bother some people, but I am not one of them. I think they are spectacular and truly exciting. I have loved my trips in them too.
DeleteLove the unicorn balloon.
ReplyDeleteJamie Ghione: She was great wasn't she?
DeleteThey are beautiful, i love watching them. On rare occasion, a team will practice inflating and taking off in the field across the street from us. If we happen to be home, it's a delight to see them.
ReplyDeleteMy selections will be over here.
messymimi: I find them mesmerising. And yes, delightful too. I look forward (as I always do) to seeing your selections when they go live.
DeleteI wished I could attend such an event and have fun and life would be normal again without lockdowns ! Tour pictures are si cheerful ! love the ballons !
ReplyDeleteGattina: Our lockdowns (and my city's particularly) have been softer than those that many people have been forced to endure. I hope that yours lifts soon and you can have some fun again.
DeleteI'm thrilled you shared the inflating with us. I was amazed at how dark it was when they first started inflating the balloons and how daylight broke. Your photos are incredible, but Alicorn being inflated was possibly the best. Such an amazing view. I have been to a balloon festival before, but only saw them taking off and in the air. That is also spectacular and I look forward to seeing that next week. This week, I will continue to be amazed at your wonderful shots of the filling of the balloons.
ReplyDeleteBleubeard and Elizabeth: Our balloons take off just after first light - so the inflation starts when it is dark. It does make for a very early start to the day but I think it is well worth it. Other household members would disagree. I adore watching the balloons fill and am very happy to share it.
DeleteI love all of them, but Allycorn is really cute :) and so colourful.
ReplyDeleteRiver: Alicorn was lovely wasn't it? And brightened a cloudy morning.
DeleteNow this is your post I have been waiting to see and I am certainly not disappointed Sue. The colours are brilliant and the atmosphere must have been magical. I am now looking forward to next week to see more in the air. It was so disappointing that the numbers had to be restricted this year but I am b=very glad you managed to get the tickets you wante.
ReplyDeleteMargaret Birding For Pleasure: It was certainly magical. There were lots of places around the lakeside where we could watch balloons, only the numbers at the launch were limited. Seeing the balloons inflate is a huge part of the experience for me so I am very, very glad that I succeeded in getting those tickets - and that the weather allowed the balloons to take off.
DeleteIt must have been a fine day! The world is a better place when my friend EC has a fine day. Bright colors and a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteBill: It was a most excellent day - and thank you.
DeleteLove the unicorn.
ReplyDeleteOlga Godim: I love them all.
DeleteDear EC
ReplyDeleteThere's just something about hot air balloons isn't there? You just have to stop and watch! Thank you for sharing this.
I look forward to seeing the next instalment.
Best wishes and Happy Easter.
Ellie
Ellie Foster: Of course I have to watch - and will go considerable distances to do so. I hope you enjoy the next installment as much.
DeleteOn my wish list. We lived in the Barossa Valley in SA and never went on one and now I wish we had...Have a Blessed Easter. x
ReplyDeleteaussie aNNie: If you get the chance do it. It really is a wonderful experience.
DeleteSo colourful and cheery! A little gobsmacked with the slang though - why should someone obsessed with beauty and colour be classified as a 'tragic'? :)
ReplyDeleteHappy week to you and yours.
Nilanjana Bose: It really was a delight. I am perfectly comfortable with that use of the word tragic. Obsessions (whatever form they take) can be dangerous (or boring to those who do not share them).
DeleteI did not guess what that last balloon would turn out to be. What a great fun thing. I too am a balloon tragic. I saw some Sunday morning but they were distant.
ReplyDeleteAndrew: I see them reasonably often in the early morning and they always get my heart beating faster.
DeleteI would have enjoyed seeing all of this, Sue. Hot air balloons are seen here quite regularly, used primarily as advertising tools for local businesses, but I have never seen anything but the flight stage and to learn about all the preparation would be very interesting. Years ago one came down in one of the fields of a friend who owns a farm. The people apologized and brought him a bottle of fine Champagne the next day. Unfortunately, it was before I knew him!
ReplyDeleteDavid M. Gascoigne: Watching the balloons inflate and take to the skies is a wonderful, wonderful thing. Each and every year I am fascinated by the process and amazed at just how big they are. I have seen the meticulous packing up and away process too - and also enjoyed that.
DeleteWonderful balloons, thank you for sharing them! There was one that came down in the schoolyard next to us a couple of decades ago and I remember thinking two things. 'Woah, that's big!' And 'Never get me up in one of them if you paid me' LOL
ReplyDeleteDragonquillica: I have happily paid (generously) to go up in a balloon. It really is an amazing experience. My height phobic youngest brother (the other family balloon tragic) loved it too. He started the flight standing well back from the edge and very shortly was employing sharp pointy elbows to get a better view.
DeleteOur balloon festival here last year was also cancelled. I don't know if its a go for this August or not. Beautiful photos. I like the hissing sound made when they inflate them, almost like a huge monster coming to life with the sound of its heavy breathing.
ReplyDeleteStrayer: I like everything about the festival. I hope yours can go ahead this year.
DeleteI wish we had a balloon festival here. It looks like so much fun. Your photos are beautiful. Looking forward to next week's. Take care and be safe my friend. Happy Easter to all celebrating.
ReplyDeleteMason Canyon: It is a HUGE amount of fun. If ever you get the chance to see one, go - you will not be disappointed. Have a safe, happy and wonderful weekend.
DeleteI am also a hot air balloon 'tragic.' Have you ever been up in one? If not, you should go one day. It is an amazing experience. So silent up there, and you can see forever.
ReplyDeleteCindi: I have flown in them several times - and loved it. Clambering into the basket is now beyond me (I think) but the memories are precious.
DeleteHi EC,
ReplyDeleteImpressive ballons I have to say.
:o)
Cheers
PM
Plastic Mancunian: They were impressive. Very, very impressive. Seeing more than a dozen in the air makes my heart sing.
DeleteI've always liked seeing the hot air balloons in the air. Impressive pictures.
ReplyDeleteMary Kirkland: Thank you. I love seeing them, and I look forward to this festival each and every year.
DeleteAir balloons are fun though I wouldn't ever want to ride in one. But I like looking at them in photos like your photos. I like the balloons with the multiple colors.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
Lissa: I have loved riding in balloons but know that it isn't for everyone. The colours are wonderful aren't they? They really brightened up that cloudy morning.
DeleteGorgeous colors! I hope you have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeletee: They were gorgeous weren't they? It was a grey morning and those colours just popped. I hope you and Lukas have a wonderful week too.
DeleteThat was a very exciting day!
ReplyDelete: )
Catarina: It was. A lovely start to the day.
DeleteLindos globos. Te mando un beso
ReplyDeleteJ.P. Alexander: Thank you.
DeleteI love the color and have had a secret desire to ride in a balloon one day. I felt like I was right there from the beginning. Thanks for sharing these photos today.
ReplyDeleteGlenda Beall: If you get the chance to take to the air in a balloon do it. I have never ever regretted my balloon trips and they remain cherished memories.
DeleteI look forward to this post every year dear!
ReplyDeleteCloudia: Thank you. I look forward to the Spectacular every year too.
DeleteSo fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got the ticket.
What a great moment and certainly very memorable.
The unicorn-shaped hot air balloon is very unique and beautiful. The air balloons are all amazingly beautiful, full of color. I'm really enjoy to see them
Thanks for sharing.
Have a nice week
Regards.
Justcherry: I am very glad that I got the ticket too - though the other day we went no ticket was required.
DeleteYou have a safe, healthy and happy week too please.
Oh, how cool .. This time Allycorn was made into a hot air balloon. The excitement of the children must be great to see their idol figures hovering in the air.
ReplyDeleteThe activity of organizing hot air balloons is very promising for progress for tourism.
Regards
Himawan Sant: It wasn't only the children who were excited, believe me. I was very, very glad to welcome the Balloon Spectacular back to my city - though I think tourism is a way off yet.
Manuel: If you get the chance to go up in a balloon, do it. It really is marvellous. We often see one or two balloons in the early morning but to see dozens in the sky at once is truly amazing.
DeleteGreat photos, and the National Library is a beautiful building. I Googled "balloon tragic" but could only find balloon tragedies.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Jamie Junebug: Tragic is more commonly used to describe sports afficionardos/nuts. It definitely applies to my obsession with balloons as well.
DeleteLOVE the unicorn balloon...>! I love seeing hot air balloons in the sky. When we lived in Flemington in MElbourne, our dog Milly would bark at them as she could hear the bursts of gas as they flew above us!
ReplyDeleteMedicatedMoo: Milly was not alone. On one of the balloon trips I was lucky enough to take as we cruised low over the suburbs many dogs heralded us with barks. Loud barks.
DeleteThe unicorn is gorgeous, I don't think we could have balloon festivals here as our winds are wicked at times. I would certainly be front row seat at yours, how spectacular!
ReplyDeleteXO
WWW
Wisewebwoman: Wind has kept our balloons grounded more than once. We were lucky this year and they took to the skies both times we headed out. It is a must see event for me each and every year.
DeleteThese are amazing, especially the unicorn! And thanks, good to learn another piece of Aussie slang! :)
ReplyDeletekaren: They are wonderful aren't they? And fill me with joy.
DeleteGreat pics! I love all of them.
ReplyDeletegigi-hawaii: I am glad. Thank you.
DeleteThese are great! I enjoyed them very much. Your library is an impressive building.
ReplyDeleteDeniseinVA: Our national library IS impressive. It has some spectacular exhibitions too.
DeleteI hope you had a wonderful Pesach.
ReplyDeleteWill return to see those balloons in flight.
Be well.
Rawknrobyn: Pesach and Easter both went past quietly. I hope yours was wonderful. Stay well, stay safe.
DeleteThose balloons sure are spectacular and huge!
ReplyDeleteLon Anderson: They were. And a delight.
DeleteThank you. Looking forward to next week's b'loons.
ReplyDeletedinahmow: There will be LOTS more photos. Including some feature balloons which I fully expect will not be to everyone's taste.
DeleteOh, I would love to take a balloon flight but I would need to be tightly strapped in. I have developed this terrible irrational vertigo thing where on a high open balcony, bridge, whatever, I get this terrifying fear that I might crazily jump over. Heavens knows why. I was not like this when younger, and I love flying, so it's not the actual height. Anyway, end of my musings on the psychiatrist's couch. Nice photos, as usual.
ReplyDeleteAndrew R. Scott: What a terrible fear to sneak up on you. I have problems with enclosed spaces and things being on top of me (like being in the basement of big buildings and underground carparks). I do hope you can get over this fear and take a balloon trip. I have found them amazing. Years later I still smile at the memories.
Delete😍
ReplyDeleteR's Rue: Thank you.
DeleteAwesome looking balloons and I love all those colors, I am scared of heights but I have had the thought of one day taking such a balloon ride,
ReplyDeleteRasmaSandra: Thank you. The youngest of my brothers is also afraid of heights - but loved his balloon rides. I do hope you can go some day.
DeleteWhat fun! It's so lovely to see all those bright colourful balloons ascending - brings back memories of living in Calgary, Alberta, where there was a very active balloon club. Thanks for sharing! :-)
ReplyDeleteDiane Henders: It really is a wonderful, wonderful start to the day. Any day.
DeleteHow wonderful that you could get tickets for the four of you. Sharing a spectacular event like that makes it seem even better, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteAllycorn appears to get more and more happy as she gets more and more inflated. How long does it take to fully inflate an average balloon?
I'm glad you got to see this twice, and I look forward to the next photos.
jenny_o: From start to finish some of the balloons (particularly the feature balloons) can take three quarters of an hour or so. It is fascinating to watch - and yes I was thrilled to get the tickets for all of us.
DeleteI've never seen this in person, only ever in photos, I think it would be even more interesting to be there and watch it all! Such great photos you got of a beautiful sight :)
ReplyDeleteHope that you are having a good week! It's been a very rainy one so far here!
Away From The Blue
Mica: It is amazing to be there in person. I hope you can see it some day. As usual, I would like some of your rain. Feel free to send it this way.
DeleteHot air ballooning over Cappadocia is on my list of things to do. I have never been. Have you?
ReplyDeleteThe Blog Fodder: My partner has been to Cappadocia (and loved it). I haven't. I would love to balloon there - or over the Serengheti as a work colleague did. I have loved my ballooning (three times now) closer to home.
DeleteI adore the balloons, but I'm absolutely doing flips over the National Library! Hugs, RO
ReplyDeleteRO: Our National Library is special isn't it? It is amazing inside as well. I have shown pictures before and will do so again. Hugs received and reciprocated.
DeleteThese are more than glorious pictures of the balloons filling and rising. Amazing!!
ReplyDeleteGranny Annie: It is a glorious experience. Really glorious. Hundreds of photos were taken.
DeleteWondrous pics and what a purrfectly splendid gift for the bro and SIL.
ReplyDeleteSandra Cox: I am so glad that the balloons filled and flew for his special day. On other years he has been less lucky.
DeleteAmazing photos!! Amazing balloons! Wow!! Happy Birthday to your brother! Big Hugs EC!!!
ReplyDeleteMagic Love Crow: Thank you. It really is wonderful to be there, and sadly my photos can only hint at the fun. Big hugs to you too.
DeleteHi EC - thanks for the thanks for the words of last month ... I went over for the new ones - but they weren't up yet ... I'll check again tomorrow ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteHilary Melton-Butcher: I am very grateful for the prompts you gave us last month. They inspired some wonderful stories. Wisewebwoman is, like you, still in Tuesday. Her words will go up later.
DeleteI've been going to the balloon festival with you for a lot of years now!
ReplyDeleteLoving the pink unicorn
kylie: I hope you will come with me for a lot more years too.
Deletethe bright pink unicorn is so stunning. I would like a ride in this. Great colourful pixs
ReplyDeletekestrel: I would happily fly in ANY of the balloons. My selfish self would rather look at the feature balloons though...
DeleteLove Allycorn. You have a lovey day, filled with birds, flowers, soft breezes and serenity.
ReplyDeleteSandra Cox: Thank you. There are birds and flowers in the light just after dawn. However, I am heading in to do a shift at Lifeline and serenity will be in short supply. Tomorrow.
DeleteLovely photos of some incredible balloons. So glad you got to enjoy this and share such a wonderful gift with your sibling. I once saw a balloon land in a farmers field, right next to the dirt road I was driving on. I pulled over to watch. Remarkable! Albuquerque, New Mexico has a big annual balloon festival, which I hope to some day visit. In the meantime, these photos will do nicely!
ReplyDeleteSusan - of every moment: I do hope you can get to the Albuquerque festival. I find seeing dozens of balloons inflate and take to the air incredibly exciting. And beautiful.
DeleteWhat a lot of spectacular balloons again this year. The Unicorn one really stands out. Thanks for sharing all those photos.
ReplyDeleteI was rather preoccupied during Easter Holy week so missed visiting some blogs and now I'm playing catch-up.
Hugs,
Julia
Julia: Thank you for playing catch up. I hope your Easter Week was blessed.
DeleteI always enjoy your "Day in the Life of..." posts. This one was spectacular with all of those hot air balloons. Beautiful and so exciting.
ReplyDeletecleemckenzie: So very exciting. This festival is a highlight to my usually very hundrum life.
DeleteI'm glad for you that you got to see the balloons! They. Are. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteCarol Kilgore: Definitely awesome. And amazing. And rather a lot of other superlatives.
DeleteNow, THAT's the way to make someone smile! What glorious fun!
ReplyDeleteJemi Fraser: It was. Simply and utterly glorious.
DeleteCute unicorn balloon ♥
ReplyDeleteKinga K.: It most certainly was.
DeleteThe National Library pic looks like a painting.
ReplyDeleteSandra Cox: I am very, very fond of our National Library. Of course.
DeleteWOW!!! The balloons are huge and so very colorful. I've never seen that many all in one place. Sometimes I can see one over the house; but they don't seem as big since we're not close to them. Your library also looks huge. Great pictures, looks like you had a good time.
ReplyDeleteSandy: I had a wonderful time. I hadn't realised just how big balloons are until I went to the first launch - and some of them are ginormous.
DeleteThat unicorn is the BEST! I'm so glad you were able to attend both days. Your excitement can be felt through your words. Now I'm excited too and I wasn't even there!
ReplyDeleteElsie
Elsie Amata: This is an annual treat for me and yes I WAS excited. The event lived up to expectations too.
DeleteThat unicorn balloon is so fab! I saw a big hot air balloon festival about 30 years ago in Canada here, in Ottawa where I was studying at the time. I didn't attend the festival per se, I just happened to look out my window one morning and saw all the balloons floating over Ottawa. I had no idea the festival was going on, so it was a magical experience!
ReplyDeleteDebra She Who Seeks: A magical experience sums up how I feel about the sight of dozens of balloons in the air. A magic I am very grateful to see.
DeletePer te una buona serata e un sereno fine settimana.
ReplyDeleteGiancarlo: Thank you. They are wonderful wishes - and to you too.
DeleteI never missed this event when I lived in a place where they also came around annually. I thought it was such a sight to see. The pics are great, I love that last one with the uni above the library!
ReplyDeletemail4rosey: I am glad to hear of someone else who thinks that balloons are a 'never miss' event.
DeleteThank you, yes we had a marvelous Easter gathering with family back like normal, and of course the scavenger hunt always a hit. Weather has been wonderful, but then of course rain and wind made our internet not so good. These photos are incredible, what a lovely grouping of such a magical event in my opinion, and I so wish there was something like this around here. You are so lucky, and now we are too being able to relive this time! Thank you so much. Stay safe and enjoy your new week ahead!
ReplyDelete21 Wits: I am so glad that you had family time. Sigh on the weather front - but I am pleased that your internet woes still allowed you to get today's post up. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
DeleteUnicorns are all the rage here in the US right now- so the balloon that was sent seems perfect! I can imagine the excitement seeing that many balloons inflated and take to the skies. I have only seen one hot air balloon inflate and take off and I thought it was spectacular. What an event! I am so glad you were able to attend and have such a special time. I can see why you are a "tragic". :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous photos!
~Jess
DMS ~Jess: It is an incredible sight to see and I am a totally unashamed tragic. Thank you.
Deletethe pink unicorn balloon is so cute, love it so much.
ReplyDelete40 inch wig
westkiss: Welcome and thank you. Please don't leave commercial links on my blog. After today I will delete them and your comments.
DeleteWonderful photos. I love the unicorn balloon.
ReplyDeleteHugs
orvokki: Thank you. We smiled to see Allycorn too.
Delete
