Sunday Selections #802

Sunday Selections was originally brought to us by Kim, of Frogpondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could post previously unused photos languishing in their files. Huge thanks to Cie who gave me this wonderful Sunday Selections image.

The meme was then continued by River at Drifting through life.  Sadly she has now stepped aside (though she will join us some weeks), and I have accepted the mantle.

The rules are so simple as to be almost non-existent.  Post some photos under the title Sunday Selections and link back to me. Sorry I still haven't succeeded in working out how to do a blog hop. Clicking on any of the photos will make them embiggen.

I usually run with a theme.  It is hot here this weekend.  My MS thrives in the heat.  I loathe it.  So I am hunkering down indoors and taking you back to the holiday of my life - in Antarctica.  Many of you have seen these photos before.  My apologies.

Have a wonderful weekend.

  1. River Fairchild - I will gladly ogle your Antarctica photos anytime, anywhere, since sadly I don’t think I’ll ever get to that magical place. It must have been thrilling for you to experience it! I worry about what climate change is doing to destroy it now.
I’m sorry it’s heating up so fast for you. The autumn and spring seasons seem to be shrinking. Soon we’ll only have summer and winter if the trend keeps up.
Hoping you will catch a break this week with a cool down.
Give my homage to the furry ones and hugs to you always.

I think it's going to cool down mid week? I hope so.
    Take care

  3. Already cold here in Florida the snow made me colder. However, I have missed seeing some snow at Christmas. Love those seals and penguins so cute. I hope you have a wonderful new week.

  4. Hi EC - oh I'd love to visit ... but I do not like the cold ... we're in a blustery, snowy, very wet England - varying aspects across the country. Stunning wildlife ... amazing ... and yes - do keep thinking cold ... all the best - Hilary xoxo
