Sunday Selections was originally brought to us by Kim, of Frogpondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could post previously unused photos languishing in their files. Huge thanks to Cie who gave me this wonderful Sunday Selections image.
The meme was then continued by River at Drifting through life. Sadly she has now stepped aside (though she will join us some weeks), and I have accepted the mantle.
The
rules are so simple as to be almost non-existent. Post some photos
under the title Sunday Selections and link back to me. Sorry I still
haven't succeeded in working out how to do a blog hop. Clicking on any of the photos will make them embiggen.
I usually run with a theme. This week my theme is pink and red.
In the garden - which in the absence of promised rain is crispifying fast.
This looks like all the other orchid/Christmas cacti - except it has hot pink stamens.
This mauve pelargonium is the exception to my pink/red theme. It has rose scented leaves and gives off its oil if you brush against it.
And in the skies.
I know that some of these are blurry and should probably not be shared but the colour was astonishing.
We have a house guest who arrived late on Friday night so I am likely not to be at this toy after the very early morning until the late afternoon today. My apologies.

DeleteG'day, EC....the weather has been very inclement up this way in many areas throughout this state. Touch wood, wild weather like we experienced last Christmas night isn't on repeat. The shock of it still affects us all in one way or the other, I think.

DeletePink and red - wonderful! Your fancy poppies are marvellous. I hope that you and your garden will get some rain. We have had some rain reently and it does make such a difference in the garden, even at the end of autumn. Everything looks fresher. I hope the new week will be a good one for you.

Anne in the kitchen: The splashes of colour are lovely aren't they? I don't like getting ready for guests or cleaning up again after they leave. There is also a phrase which I concur with that three days is more than enough for fish or visitors.
