Distraught and Overwrought

Life is a game I really don't want to play at the moment.

My body is recalcitrant, wobbly and in pain.  My mind is little better, and my eyes are leaking.  I will be back in a bit.

  2. You seem to be in the same place I have tenanted for at least the last three months.
My sincerest sympathy, I do hope the storm blows over soon. At the moment, I am dependant on Panadene around the clock, at least their shareholders must be happy.

  6. I'm so sorry to read this and hope you feel better soon. get lots of rest, sleep if you can.
I've just read yesterday's post, which I missed because my connection has been a bit iffy. How awful of Jazz to bite the hand that feeds him! I'm also wondering why he would attack Jewel. Is he getting crankier in his old age? How old is he?

  15. Sorry to hear this EC...Damn MS. You are in my thoughts.

  16. Oh no, EC. What is wrong, is it your MS causing you such pain? I just read a big study about MS, and the relation to Vitamin D, particularly when one is very young, even in the womb. Even when one is born is significant, if in a low vitamin D (sun) location. Those born in May or summer spent a long sunless winter in the womb, giving them more risk later of developing MS. Appears it can be made up for, in youth, but not after age 15. People who moved after age 15 to an area of more direct sun carried with them the risk of getting it, associated with the area they moved from. Moving before age 15, the person then carries the risk of getting MS associated with where they moved to.

  33. EC, so sorry to hear this. I have seen a close family member deal with flare-ups of a chronic illness also; it is so disheartening for the sufferer. My heart goes out to you. Please be good to yourself, ask others for help, and rest.

  37. I thought of you often on my canal trip in England, and I worried about both you and SP. I do hope your eyes will stop leaking soon and you will be able to clearly see your beautiful birds. It's winter here now and all my birds are brown and hungry. Love from across the world. Get better, both of you.

  49. Dear EC, nearly two weeks have passed since you posting your cry of angst and pain. I do so hope that you are feeling better and yet I know that dark nights of the soul can last through many painful days and weeks and months. Even years. So I hope that in the midst of all this you have some beloved person or idea or memory of belief in yourself to which you can embrace and hold dear. Peace.

  50. I have been so wrapped up in my own stuff, both good and bad ... but I suddenly realized "Where is my friend?". I haven't heard from her in a long time. So I came to find that you have been in pain and I have been remiss. My heart ached as I read your words. What can a friend do from this distance ... what has happened to your hope and your sense of humor. How could life be so cruel to take them from you, if only for a moment. I wish I could reach out and touch your hand and your heart and tell you that it will all be well ... but what I have learned in life is that the recovery comes from within you. It is you making the choice to come back and be the wonderful person that you are and to push away the demons that haunt you. Come back to all of us, my friend ... we miss you!
