Sunday Selections, brought to us by Kim, of Frogpondsrock, is an ongoing theme where participants post previously unused photos languishing in their files.
Anyone can join in, just post your photos under the Sunday Selections title, link back to Kim, then add your name to her Linky list at Frogpondsrock.
This week my theme is gifts I have received over the years (which also has a secondary theme). Some of these gifts I love and in other cases I love the giver. And of course in some cases I love both the gift and the giver.
And I could continue on this theme for a month of Sundays.
It's all about cat..do u love cat ?
ReplyDeleteBaliMoz: I do indeed love cats, big and small. I also love other things, but you wouldn't know that based on the presents I receive. Which sounds ungrateful which I don't mean to be.
ReplyDeleteSome of those gifts are wonderful. I do like the cat sculpture in the garden, what a fun piece. Thanks for the inspiration, and the reminder that I need to make some fun pieces as well as the serious pieces. I might try to make some whimsical mirror surrounds, or wall hanging thingies. Thankyou
ReplyDeleteSome very unique gifts! Obviously the givers know you well. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic portraits of pussy cats. I especially like the statue of the pussy cat in the garden made smile and the two tigers on the plate they are very majestic beasts indeed. Sadly there are not many left in the wild and are nearly extinct in some countries :-).
ReplyDeleteKim; Karen; Windsmoke: Thanks. The concrete cat was given to my by one of my sisters-in-law. Her son said 'Don't you like her?'. And if the truth be told she doesn't but the cat has settled down in my garden very happily.
ReplyDeleteCat statues!! I love them, especially the concrete one and the two black cats. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous collection! All wonderful pussy cats in their different ways. The black and white one looks like Dominic. Especially just before he lunges at me.
ReplyDeletePS I'm envious of the concrete cat--I'd love to have something like that in my garden!
ReplyDeleteso you like cats then? haha. I like the 6th one the best.
ReplyDeletePaper Chipmunk: What an unerring eye you have. The black and white cat is made out of papier-mache. It lives in the lounge room and several of our cats have been afraid of it. And yes, garden sculptures are fun. We also have some quirky birds and some other odds and sods which I will put in another post.
ReplyDeleteToushka Lee: Welcome. I am obviously regarded by my nearest and dearest as a person of limited interests. Though as I said, some of them I love.
Excellent theme! You are super easy to make/buy presents for. Feline icons very sweet. I received a kitsch kitten calendar which is in use this year, one kitteny page at a time.
ReplyDeleteWell, as you can tell my by nom de plume, I have no objection to anything feline, wild or domestic! These are all lovely, EC. I'm sure your kitties look around and think, ah, we've found the right home, where worship of cats as superior beings is evident even in the interior decorating!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you've placed the shot of the two gorgeous coal black cats in sculpture opposite the picture of their live cousins. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteNicoS
I like the black cats best. Don't you think cats make an art of looking at home, wherever they are? Good for them, I say.
ReplyDeleteOoooh now I get it, you're a crazy cat lady! Hahahaha, nice gifts eh? You've done well here.
ReplyDeleteAnon: Lots of your gifts here.
ReplyDeleteKettle: I have a BIG weakness for black cats. And one of those is made from coal. And yes, cats make themselves to home very, very well.
All Consuming: Crazy a lot of things (including cats) lady.
Wonderful animal gifts and knick-knacks!
ReplyDeletefanciful felines!!
