The Great American Snowman Contest

A little while ago Spectra of Spectrum Woman proposed a Great American Snowman Contest to be run over the next 100 days.

I felt the need to whinge  point out that she was being both geographically and climatically prejudiced.  She was very reasonable and extended the contest to anyone who wanted to play, using whatever materials were available which left me with nothing to complain about.

It appears that cheating is welcome and indeed almost mandatory, so without further ado I give you:

The Great Australian Snow Slut Woman.

This snow goddess was constructed while I was at school which is surely within the last 100 days years.

  3. umm - is it a self-portrait sculpture? :)

  4. Christine: Spectra is not only a devious human being, (said in tones of sincere admiration) she is an artist. It is waaaay too early to start predicting winners.

Cloudia; Thank you - but aren't we all?

Denise: How lovely of you to say that.

Alexia: I don't think so, though there are indeed some elements of similarity.

  5. ....bless! Love her eye lashes and, um, she might need a good, supportive bra to correct the slight 'lean' she's got going on there.... :)

    ReplyDelete
  6. So where did you go to school? Not around there, is my guess. :)

A fabulous entry - the eyelashes are particularly inspired!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Best snow-woman ever! Are those her own eyelashes or are they false?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Loving the Snow Slapper!
Although I think she needs some clevage support.

  9. I like her...she's "fluffy" like me.

    ReplyDelete
  10. She's definitely... unique! I love the feeling of her, and she certainly is well endowed. You're funny! I hope you win, you deserve to. :-)

  11. She's on her way to the dentist, isn't she?

    ReplyDelete
  12. We have a winner! Love her!

    ReplyDelete
  13. LOL! Ladies and gentlemen, I believe we have a winner! How can this vintage snow slut not take the prize? Look at those eyelashes! (Boys, you need to look higher).

  14. Most excellent! And happy birthday to the SP too.

    ReplyDelete
  15. The prize goes to....
Not sure what the branch is supposed to be or represent, but this is an impressive work.

  16. That's what i like to see a woman with all her lumps and bumps in all the right places. A bit of dental work would be good to :-).

  17. Kath: She was a feminist snow person and had burned her bra.

All Consuming: Glad to give you something to smirk about.

Lynn: I went to school about an hour and a half's drive away and from memory it was not a school sanctioned excursion.

River: Naturally they were her own eyelashes (and everything else too of course).

Jayne: Her living bra died and her cups runneth over.

    Sherri Abendroth: Thank you.

mybabyjohn/Delores: A whole new definition to 'fluffy'.

DJan: She was/is fun isn't she?

Joanne: People came to her. She wasn't going anywhere - least of all to the dentist.

Karen: Thank you. Now I need all you kind people to go over to Spectra's blog.

PM: Thank you too. Now over to Spectrum Woman with you too.

Laloofah: She has charm doesn't she? And who could miss those .... eyelashes?

Ampersand Duck: Thank you (on both counts).

Kim @ Stuff: Don't tell Spectra - sometimes it feels more than 100 years ago.

Susan Kane: I can't remember what the branch was either (a broom stick perhaps). She was impressive. It would have taken quite a spring thaw before she disappeared.

  18. Windsmoke: Sorry your comment arrived as I was replying to others. She was certainly all woman. And proud of it. And that was a rosebud mouth(?), not a blackened tooth.

  19. A bra-burning, and well-endowed, snow woman! She's great!

Such a woman of many talents you are/were.

  20. Hello! I'm laughing out loud. Guffawing. It's those eyelashes. She reminds me of a simpering elephant!!!! Oh, I love this picture and I surely think you will win!

    Peace.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Paper Chipmunk: A heartfelt thank you.

Dee Reedy. Thank you. A good guffaw never goes astray. She does think she is beautiful doesn't she?

    ReplyDelete
  22. OH MY GOODNESS that is so funny!!!!! How did you find that photo????

    I love it!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Nicky: It was indeed a creation of my own, and the photo was mouldering in a photo album here. With the magic of a scanner I was able to resurect her.

  24. as we say in these parts - "It looks a titty bit nippley there"...

    (remember, we're rednecks here!)

    ReplyDelete
  25. daisyfae: I hadn't come across that saying before, and can't argue. Thanks.

  26. What a hoot. And she does have some hooters!! Is she carrying a switch because she's also a school teacher and uses it to keep the kiddos in line?

The competition is picking up. What a wonderful slut.

    ReplyDelete
  27. barbfroman: Why thank you. I really cannot remember the purpose of that switch (freudian memory lapse?).

    ReplyDelete
  28. Good grief! It's Germaine Greer, in her earlier days!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'm betting that her eyelashes are false.

    ReplyDelete
  30. dinahmow: Female Eunuch days? Quite possible that she was one of the inspirations.

Snowbrush: How can you say that? Flutter, flutter.

    ReplyDelete
  31. My OH! My!

This sultry and ingenius entry will surely be HARD to beat! A Feminist Snow Woman! And a bra-burner, to boot! The other entrants should be happy they'll be 3 prizes- the competition just got stiffer! When we wind up the winter here, you will have to encourage all of your faithful followers to come over and vote!

I am copying this entry and putting her on the contest page. Does she...uh...have a name?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Spectra: Thank you. She will enjoy being on the contest page.

She was never officially named, being known as the Snow Slut. So as not to disrespect her perhaps this could be abbreviated to Ess Ess.

    ReplyDelete
  33. LOL - what a goddess of snow!

    ReplyDelete
  34. That's a very tarty Snow Woman. Love her.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Melissa Ann Goodwin: Welcome and thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  36. This is hilarious!! You commented on my -21C photo earlier so I can tell you that the -21C snow we have today is useless for making snowmen, snow women or even snow sluts - as it doesn't stick together. I like Melissa's comment that it's a very "tarty" snow woman.

    ReplyDelete
  37. A Scattering: Welcome and thank you. When I made the snow slut I think the temperatures were hovering around 4 or 5 Centigrade. We are expecting around 30C today and I don't like it at all.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I love her boobs. Like in real women one is slightly bigger than the other.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Exactly what I said at the time of her construction. Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hey, I like this. Mine are uneven too. One good warm day and she'll look even more like me.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Murr Brewster: I am so glad you like her. And mine are uneven too, though perhaps not (yet) to her extent.

    ReplyDelete
  42. All of a sudden I like snowmen, uh women, uh people.

    ReplyDelete
  43. J Cosmo Newberry: Welcome. Of course you like snowpersons. What's not to like?

    ReplyDelete
  44. This post and the (pardon the pun) flurry of comments it so well deserved really put a smile on my face! Can't recall the last time I played in the snow! This will have to do. Many thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Two Tigers: I am glad to have created a smile. And yes, playing it was.

Friko: It does snow here. Each winter even. In a very limited number of places.

    ReplyDelete
  46. nouvelles coleurs - vienna atelier: Thank you.
