I had the surgery on Thursday and came home on Saturday morning. They don't keep you long in hospital these days.
I am not precisely comfortable after four keyhole surgeries and a slice across my belly. I am however in MUCH less pain that I was before the operation. A win.
The cats are pleased to have me home even if I smell funny.
I see the doctor again next week so we can discuss next steps.
And, because I am a creature of habit on Sunday we went down to the lake for a kangaroo fix.
Thank you so much for your emails and comments of support. I hope that normal service on this blog can be resumed shortly.
Welcome home, Sue. You have been in the thoughts of many, of that you may be sure. I have no doubt that your roo fix took on a whole new significance this time. A finer therapist I couldn’t imagine. Take good care. Hugs - David
ReplyDeleteYou are ever in my heart and prayers and thank you for sharing your kangaroo pics.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're feeling up to posting, and I hope you get your strength back soon.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that your surgery is over and that you are home and no longer in pain (except for the post surgery pain that does go away in time). I had a complete ovarian hysterectomy when I was 34 (not due to cancer, but endometriosis). It takes a while to recover. But recover you will. Please keep us updated. Any chemo or radiation needed?
ReplyDeleteYou have all my best wishes

Very nice to hear things went well. Expect soreness for quite some time but it will get better.
ReplyDeleteKangaroos should be good recovery therapy.
Glad to hear the news. I've been thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteIs it safe to get that close to a kangaroo? 🦘
So there’s that behind you. So good you’re home now with cats and kangaroos for comfort. Full steam ahead to better days.
