Sunday Selections #827

Sunday Selections was originally brought to us by Kim, of Frogpondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could post previously unused photos languishing in their files. Huge thanks to Cie who gave me this wonderful Sunday Selections image.

The meme was then continued by River at Drifting through life.  Sadly she has now stepped aside (though she will join us some weeks), and I have accepted the mantle.

The rules are so simple as to be almost non-existent.  Post some photos under the title Sunday Selections and link back to me. Sorry I still haven't succeeded in working out how to do a blog hop. Clicking on any of the photos will make them embiggen.

I usually run with a theme. I am still in recovery mode.  Sadly I am also a slow learner and frequently do too much.  Not many photos this week - but one of the bunches of flowers I was given has highlights that tie in nicely with  Charlotte (MotherOwl)'s colour of the month. The colour for July is"Writing Pleasure Purple"

Complete with photo bomber.

And another bunch (I am so lucky).

My doctor's visit for Tuesday has been moved to Wednesday when I will find out what the prognosis is and whether chemotherapy/radiation are part of my future.

I hope you find beauty and joy in your week as I will in mine.

  1. Hi EC - yes starting to recover does take time ... so glad you're realising it. Love the flowers - well deserved I'm sure ... I'd send you some if it wasn't quite so far?! Eastbourne to Canberra?! I'll be thinking of you this week - especially Wednesday ... at least it's still this week. That photo-bomber is always welcome ... I wonder what they thought, smelt etc etc ... Your flowers match Writing Pleasure Purple very appropriately ... rest up - orders from all of us ... I'm sure - cheers Hilary

    1. Hilary Melton-Butcher: The photo bomber adores bunches of flowers and has to be forcibly dissauded from chewing on them. I am resting. Really I am.

  3. Laura Eno - I suspect your middle name is stubborn. ;-) It’s wonderful to see you and your flowers are gorgeous! The photo bomber is due his right to be the center of attention and admiration.
Love and hugs to you. I hope you rest today… as in actually rest…

    1. Laura Eno: My father told me I was more stubborn that stains. He may have had a point. The photo bomber/aka flower chewer is good at claiming prime position.

  7. Oh gosh, I hope you don't have to have chemo and radiation. I'm glad you've had the surgery already and your purples are beautiful including the non purple interloper.

    1. Strayer: I will find out next week. Sadly I fear it is likely. The interloper is a beauty isn't he?

  15. Dear EC
Beautiful flowers to bring some colour and joy to you (and us). I hope you manage to keep that pesky(but lovely) photo bomber away from them! I wish you all the best for your appointment and will be thinking about you.
    Best wishes
    Ellie
