Sunday Selections was originally brought to us by Kim, of Frogpondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could post previously unused photos languishing in their files.

The meme was then continued by River at Drifting through life. Sadly she has now stepped aside (though she will join us some weeks), and I have accepted the mantle.

I usually run with a theme. Coming home from the shops the other day we drove past a piece of unbuilt up land. I was sure I spotted a small door in one of the eucalypts. So of course I had to go back and check it out (the things I do for you - it was stinking hot).
And it was a door. A fairy g rden no less.
Xola and Arch had obviously been to a lot of trouble decorating their fairy g rden. I hope they had a heap of fun.
Xola and Arch were conspicuous by their absence and I did wonder whether the swarm of bees on the other side of the tree had anything to do with it. It could also be that they are neither mad dogs nor Englishmen and refused to go out in the midday sun.

My next feature this week is very different. I met up with a friend for a cuppa this week. Many years ago she was my boss. Neither of us is in paid employment now, and she has moved down the coast but we meet up when we can.
She brought me samples from her latest craft project.

Bookmarks. Clever (also origami based) bookmarks.
The boxes were a delightful surprise but last time I saw her she gave me a bookmark and I commissioned some more bookmarks to share.
