Sunday Selections #607

Sunday Selections was originally brought to us by Kim, of Frogpondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could post previously unused photos languishing in their files.

Huge thanks to Cie who gave me this wonderful Sunday Selections image.

The meme was then continued by River at Drifting through life.  Sadly she has now stepped aside (though she will join us some weeks), and I have accepted the mantle.

The rules are so simple as to be almost non-existent.  Post some photos under the title Sunday Selections and link back to me. Clicking on any of the photos will make them embiggen.

I usually run with a theme. A little while ago I described the ambience of our home as cluttered on Andrew's blog.  The same is true of our walls and ceilings.  There are things I have made, things other people have made, photographs and souvenirs from trips away and things people have given us.

We have had the two oil paintings above for decades.  The artist was an Austrian man on a working holiday in Australia.  I love the way he captured quintessentially Australia countryside scenes and light.

I made the needlework above for himself's mama.  After her death it came back to us.

I bought the water colour above when I was away on a work trip to Tasmania.  I was cold and went into an art gallery to get warm.  I fell in love with this painting and my only regret has been that I couldn't afford another by the same artist.

In other news, the kittens continue to give cause for concern.  Odie in particular is still snuffling.  Both of their digestive systems are not happy.  The vet tells us that it could take weeks for them to recover.  Fingers crossed.  Tightly.

I wouldn't be me if I didn't include a couple of photos from the garden.

And some skyscapes, finishing with a pretty and hopeful dawn (well that was the plan until Blogger decided to reverse the order of my photos).

I hope your week to come is cluttered with joy.
