sounds dreadful, i'm so sorry and i'm thinking good thoughts. admittedly i'm rather clueless as to who small portion is, but that it is someone loved and important in your life is obvious. *hugs*
Thank you one and all. He came through the seven hour operation reasonably OK. Now a long slow recovery. Colostomy bag for at least three or four months, then another operation. Aaaaargh. And of course the doctor is unavailable to talk to me until between 7 and 9 am at the hospital tomorrow. So I will be there.
