Sunday Selections was originally brought to us by Kim, of Frogpondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could post previously unused photos languishing in their files. Huge thanks to Cie who gave me this wonderful Sunday Selections image.
The meme was then continued by River at Drifting through life.
Sadly she has now stepped aside (though she will join us some weeks),
and I have accepted the mantle.
The
rules are so simple as to be almost non-existent. Post some photos
under the title Sunday Selections and link back to me. Sorry I still
haven't succeeded in working out how to do a blog hop. Clicking on any of the photos will make them embiggen.
I
usually run with a theme. Sorry for my recent absence from the blogosphere. Things went a bit pear shaped (as an aside where does that phrase come from?).
I have been in hospital again twice since I last wrote. A massive infection and then an allergy to an antibiotic (and a sensitivity to another). I will need both chemotherapy and radiation treatment but that cannot start until the infections have been kicked to the curb. I have appointments with the respective teams in the next ten days.
For the moment I am home again and glad to be here.
And it is STILL a beautiful world.
I LOOOOOOOVE the sky shots. Love those. I haven't played with sky shots yet with the new lens. Thanks for the idea! I am happy to read that you're home for the moment but sad that you have to go through all of this. Sending much love and huggs your way with a great big side of boogie boogie.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, the artwork, the yellow tulips, and the sky. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about the infections and sensitivities.. I too have sensitivities to some antibiotics (makes taking new ones a bit scary). I have had radiation for Breast cancer, but refused chemo (and since my BC was caught early stages - refusing was an option). Sending good vibes and prayers your way... and hopefully all will be well. And I agree (despite it all), the world is still a wonderful place.
ReplyDeleteLaura Eno - You’ve been through the wringer with the bad reactions to the antibiotics and yet you’re here sharing beauty and bounty to all of us! Thank you so much for the updates and we are collectively cheering you on. Many hugs and much love.
ReplyDeleteThe world is more beautiful with you in it my dear friend. And those yellow tulips symbolize hope going forward into the unknown.

I admire how you approach life.
ReplyDeleteSending you a friendly hug.
I stole some trees.
Aferradetes fortes, Sue.
