Sunday Selections #789

Sunday Selections was originally brought to us by Kim, of Frogpondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could post previously unused photos languishing in their files. Huge thanks to Cie who gave me this wonderful Sunday Selections image.

The meme was then continued by River at Drifting through life.  Sadly she has now stepped aside (though she will join us some weeks), and I have accepted the mantle.

The rules are so simple as to be almost non-existent.  Post some photos under the title Sunday Selections and link back to me. Clicking on any of the photos will make them embiggen.

I usually run with a theme. This week?  Not so much.  Odds and sods which have caught my eye.

Spring is definitely well on the way in our garden.

Wattle Day isn't until September 1st, but the wattles in our garden (and much of the city) are already blazing.

There are signs of Spring in the city too.

I continue to delight in the sky.

And Batty gets better by the day.  Odie missed him but he smelt funny when he got home so Odie continued to be stressed.  Both of them are happy chappies now.

I hope all is well in your world's too.

  4. Dear EC
So pleased to see that Batty is home and is recovering. Such a stressful time for all of you. The Spring flowers are such a joy. The skies are also very beautiful, particularly where the moon is in view.
I hope your week is quiet and uneventful (in the best possible way!)
    Best wishes

    1. Ellie Foster: Quiet and uneventful sounds good. I have a few medical appointments and Batty has another check up but hopefully there will be no drama at any of them. Spring is an exciting time of year isn't it?

  8. River Fairchild - Wonderful news about Batty! I’m glad he stopped smelling funny so Odie could have him back too.

    1. Andrew: Our garden is starting to bloom but I am hopeful for many more flowers in the coming weeks. And less weeds - which requires me to get off my fundament. Batty is looking good isn't he?

  10. It is wonderful to see both of your furry boys - they are all grown up, aren't they? I still think of them as kittens :) So glad Batty is doing better. Does he know how we all held our breath when he was ill?? I'm so relieved for him and all of you that the big worry is less now. That fur will grow in in no time, Batty - don't you worry. Wishing you a lower stress week, my friend. Your flowers are a balm for the eyes. So many in the purple family - lavenders and lilacs and darker shades too. Just beautiful :)

    1. jenny_o: We still think of them as kittens too. And they still often behave that way. Odie has just been playing in one of their water bowls, dipping a paw in it and waving it round. And now there are wet footprints through the house. I don't think Batty realised how worried we were. And yes to the garden being balm - though also a source of guilt.
