Sunday Selections #830

Sunday Selections was originally brought to us by Kim, of Frogpondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could post previously unused photos languishing in their files. Huge thanks to Cie who gave me this wonderful Sunday Selections image.

The meme was then continued by River at Drifting through life.  Sadly she has now stepped aside (though she will join us some weeks), and I have accepted the mantle.

The rules are so simple as to be almost non-existent.  Post some photos under the title Sunday Selections and link back to me. Sorry I still haven't succeeded in working out how to do a blog hop. Clicking on any of the photos will make them embiggen.

I usually run with a theme. I am still home.  Yay.

I did (of course) have to make repeated trips to the hospital last week.  However I also had to go into town which is where much of my focus is this week.

Doesn't this bear cry out to be hugged?  It is in an area set aside for children in the hospital but this adult was tempted too.

I have featured The Big Swoop before.  It was vandalised shortly after it was installed but has been repaired and is now back on display.

And a nearby mural - down an otherwise unappealing alley.

I have also had a roo fix and been revelling in things coming out in the garden.

This coming week will be busy.  I have multiple medical appointments and I think I start chemotherapy on Wednesday so I will be largely absent from the blogosphere.  I  hope your week is packed with colour and joy.

Sunday Selections #480

I usually run with a theme.  We are still mostly at home.  I am going to start with some photos of an early morning walk on my way to do a shift on the crisis line.

The floral map of Australia at this house has faded (though it is still there) and now they have added another floral street brightener.

Their teddy still sits and watches from the base of their letter box.

I am not a believer but appreciate this billboard at a local church.  They have another sign which reads 'Jesus was a refugee'.

My city continues to put murals on the boarding around buildings under renovation.  I really liked that this one asked for an interaction from passersby - and have included several shots of the mural so you can see if you can find things...

It is quite a big building and there are other murals too.

I loved the bearded raven on the bench too.

And of course, being me, I continue to revel in the sky.  In a myriad of lights and moods.

While not a 'good' photo, I liked the tracery of leaves on the face of the moon.

Stay safe, stay well - and continue to find beauty and joy.
