Sunday Selections was originally brought to us by Kim, of Frogpondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could post previously unused photos languishing in their files.
Huge thanks to Cie who gave me this wonderful Sunday Selections image.
The meme was then continued by River at Drifting through life. Sadly she has now stepped aside (though she will join us some weeks), and I have accepted the mantle.
The rules are so simple as to be almost non-existent. Post some photos under the title Sunday Selections and link back to me. Clicking on any of the photos will make them embiggen.
I usually run with a theme. We are still mostly at home. I am going to start with some photos of an early morning walk on my way to do a shift on the crisis line.
The floral map of Australia at this house has faded (though it is still there) and now they have added another floral street brightener.
Their teddy still sits and watches from the base of their letter box.
I am not a believer but appreciate this billboard at a local church. They have another sign which reads 'Jesus was a refugee'.
My city continues to put murals on the boarding around buildings under renovation. I really liked that this one asked for an interaction from passersby - and have included several shots of the mural so you can see if you can find things...
It is quite a big building and there are other murals too.
I loved the bearded raven on the bench too.
And of course, being me, I continue to revel in the sky. In a myriad of lights and moods.
While not a 'good' photo, I liked the tracery of leaves on the face of the moon.
Stay safe, stay well - and continue to find beauty and joy.
These photos are lovely and I like the lace looking moon. Glad you are well and can do your volunteer time, that crisis line is very needed now.
ReplyDeletee: Thank you. I am so grateful that the centre found a way for me to continue to volunteer and yes, the lines are running hot. And will be for some time.
DeleteI liked the moon too.
ReplyDeleteThe sky is always impressive. It never looks the same.
It is nice to be out and about.
Stay well.
:)
Caterina: I am mostly happy to be home but yes, I did enjoy my trip into town. I never, ever tire of skyscapes.
DeleteEach of these thrilled me in a different way!
ReplyDeleteCloudia: I am glad.
DeleteI love the mural. So detailed and wonderful.
ReplyDeletegigi-hawaii: I think the murals are a wonderful idea and I really enjoy seeing them.
DeleteI always enjoy your photos. I especially love the last one of the moon. It has mystery and beauty all wrapped up together. Take care and be safe.
ReplyDeleteMason Canyon: Thank you. I often take photographs of the moon - and they are usually woeful. Its beauty seems to laugh at the camera (or perhaps just at me).
DeleteWhat a splash colourful, beautiful painting. Love them.
ReplyDeleteBob Bushell: They are much better to look at than bare boards or grafitti aren't they? And the grafitti artists seem to leave them alone.
DeleteThey certainly are fun murals, there to brighten and lighten ones day.And I'm sure they do. I love them.
ReplyDeleteHave yourself a good week ahead, ED. Take care...cuddles to Jazz. :)
Lee: They certainly brightened my morning. I hope you and your furry overlords have a wonderful week. Stay warm, stay safe.
Deletelove the raven
ReplyDeleteLinda Starr: So do I. I see them often in town and I am always glad.
DeleteI haven't been out of the house for over a week and that was for 10 minutes, so it's been nice taking a walk with you. Love the murals especially the black and white one.
ReplyDeleteI like the message from the church, and I must say I miss going, and can't imagine when they'll allow places of worship to open again.
LL Cool Joe: Some of our churches are opening again. The congregation size is limited to ten, but they are also open during the week for private prayer. I hope you can find a way to get back to church again soon. I know what an important part of your life it is.
DeleteHow do these artists do these amazing murals out in the open? So impressive.
ReplyDeleteSusan Kane: I was once lucky enough to see a mural artist at work. She was using a cherry picker to get to the top of the mural and I watched, fascinated, for some time.
DeleteThose murals around construction sites are quite elaborate. It would take some time to take it all in. The fog creates mystery!
ReplyDeleteMarie Smith: I see something different, something more each time I go past the murals.
DeleteI am a big fan of fog too - which is lucky because we get a fair amount of it here.
What a great idea to suggest people find things in a mural. I doubt many could resist trying. Good photos as always and I really like the murals.
ReplyDeleteAndrew: I certainly couldn't resist and spent some happy time trying to find things. Some I didn't find till I got home and could view them on the PC though.
DeleteAnd I just love the lacy moon in the last shot.
ReplyDeleteJoanne Noragon: Thank you. It was a beautiful sight.
DeleteThe murals are so good - a great deal better than ugly, graffiti-covered fencing. I especially liked the Alice in Wonderland ones. And the sky photos - so varied and interesting, and all of them beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAlexia: I think the murals were a brainwave from our local government. As you know I never, ever tire of the sky.
DeleteI like the moon photo, with the trees in front, make a nice Halloween time of year image. Makes me think of Halloween. You have a nice bright walk with all those murals! The one tree hill photo, I like that too, reminds me of the song which reminds me of U2 singing that song.
ReplyDeleteStrayer: Thank you. I don't know the song of one tree hill and will have to explore in a moment. I often watch the light change on that particular tree in the early morning.
DeleteI've always loved the unique street art your city has around construction sites and the shot of the leaves on the moon is fabulous! Thanks again for bringing a smile to my face!
ReplyDeleteRiver Fairchild: As I so often say I am endlessly grateful for my cities public art, and dressing up construction sites is a definite winner. Hooray for smiles.
DeleteI LOVE those murals, especially the "can you find" one, the others are so colourful. Love the bearded raven too, and saw my local crows this morning on my walk around the block. The lacy moon shot is great :)
ReplyDeleteRiver: How is your walking going? I was being pretty good but the garden has been claiming a lot of time and energy recently. I am a big fan of the ravens and you have reminded me that I rarely see crows. I wonder why?
DeleteI've had to stay home for the past week because I'm waiting for deliveries that need to be signed for. Three things arrived today, finally, and I have two things still on their way. So the walking has taken a holiday for now, but I'll get back to it as soon as my towels and book arrive.
DeleteRiver: I hope your deliveries come soon.
DeleteI love the teapot mural and the moon photo.
ReplyDeleteHopefully your photo collection will be the best.
Himawan Sant: Thank you. I take lots and lots of photos, but there is still plenty to learn. I am essentially a happy snapper.
DeleteIt was fun to photograph many objects.
DeleteI also often do it :)
Himawan Sant: So many wonders... Photography is a heap of fun isn't it?
DeleteThe murals are good, clever people about or artistic.
ReplyDeleteYour sky photos are nice and I do like the leaves over the moon.
That raven looks a beauty, so shiny.
Margaret D: I really like to see murals - and am awed at the skill and imagination of the artists. The raven looked to be very healthy indeed - which was lovely.
DeleteGreat post--- it gave me a much needed smile.
ReplyDeleteBill: I am very glad to hear that - and hope your week is filled with smiles.
DeleteThank you.
ReplyDeleteSunday wouldn't be Sunday without going for a walk with you, what brilliant murals.... reminds me of the approach by rail to Gare du Nord Paris. Happy days!
Christine: What a lovely thing to say. I have never been to Paris and would love to see that approach.
DeleteDear EC
ReplyDeleteLots of beauty and joy to be found in your post today. I do like those murals, brightening everyone's day.
Best wishes
Ellie
Elli Foster: I am so glad that you found beauty and joy here. We all need both.
DeleteHave a great week.
I love street art, probably more than "serious" art.
ReplyDeleteI should try to watch the sky more, it's like a lot of things I would enjoy if only I got my act together to do them
kylie: Street art is so much more accessible than much of the so called serious art. Like you I love it. I am not going to admit just how much time I 'waste' staring at the sky. Time which I consider well spent.
DeleteI think that murals on construction sites are a very good thing. If you have to put up with all the noise, disruption and pollution, at least let there be some visual appeal. I remember years ago they had students from the Art College of Ontario do the murals at a downtown site, and it was tied into a fundraiser of some kind. The art was very appealing and some charity benefitted too.
ReplyDeleteDavid M. Gascoigne: I like the idea of a charity benefiting from street art - and am a big fan of it anyway. I think that anyone who sees it benefits. We all NEED colour, whimsy and fun.
DeleteI love the murals. People are so creative. That was a good idea to use the temporary construction boards for art.
ReplyDeleteTake care and stay safe.
Rick Watson: I am always awed by creativity. And delighted. You take care too please.
DeleteI love these murals, so fun!
ReplyDeleteNatalia: They are aren't they? Soooo much better than bare boards.
DeleteStark skies. The murals are colorful. And definitely be not afraid.
ReplyDeleteAlex J. Cavanaugh: I thought the 'be not afraid' on the Church billboard was inspired.
DeleteBeautiful skies! And the murals...
ReplyDeleteDamyanti: I am so grateful to see colour and wonder. Anywhere. Everywhere.
DeleteSo nice of you to take walks and find all these interesting things to photograph and share. I love the murals (what telent!), the skies, the moon, all of them. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteMyrna R.: Thank you. I live in a beautiful city and am endlessly grateful.
DeleteI so enjoyed all the wonders on our walk. And the leaves on the moon.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day, my friend.
Sandra: Many thanks - and a very Happy Mother's Day to you too.
DeleteThat's funny, the floral map of Australia looks like the Volkswagon logo now!
ReplyDeleteJohn Wiswell: You are right. I knew it reminded me of something - and couldn't think what it was. Thank you.
DeleteThose murals are such fun. Thank you for the extended tour. And of course, the sky. I hope you are staying safe and healthy. Virtual hugs.
ReplyDeleteDJan: Thank you for the delightful (and much more energetic) walks you take me on day after day. I am safe and hope that you are too.
DeleteI love the murals. The sky pictures are great too. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteMary Kirkland: Thank you. I hope the meeting with Ken's oncologist goes really, really well.
DeleteThank goodness for all those lovely gifts around us, especially now during all this. Your flowered circle in honor of your old map is lovely, and the dear teddy that needs hugs right now is comforting too, as are your other photos, that arrive with all this new world we're living in. We shall all survive one day at a time, it's a must. Enjoy your week ahead!
ReplyDelete21 Wits: Thank you. We all need the gift of colour and fun don't we? Always. Stay safe, stay well.
DeleteOh your photos are especially wonderful this time. Loved to see all the murals and that bearded raven!! That bearded raven!! That...well, you know! xoxo And thank you soooo much for your kind compliment.
ReplyDeleteJ C: Thank you. I take photos of the bearded ravens almost every time I see them. My comment about your art was sincere. It blew me away. Stay safe, stay well.
DeleteInteresting mural art. I love corvids - we even have a couple out of the many that dine at our place that seem to be beginning to trust us. Wonderful skies and that image of the moon and the leaves is actually excellent in my book - much better and more atmospheric than razor sharp "good"
ReplyDeleteAndrew R. Scott: How wonderful to have earned the trust of corvids. I suspect they will also teach their families.
DeleteThank you. I liked the lacy moon, despite it being less than sharp and am glad that others do as well.
I love the pictures are Teddy , murals bearded raven and the blue sky.
ReplyDeleteNice photos..👍
Justcherry: Thank you. I am glad that you liked them.
DeleteWonderful photos as always. The artwork is interesting. Love that raven.
ReplyDeleteRasmaSandra: Thank you. The ravens are truly beautiful birds. We sometimes get a family visiting us - and we always feel privileged.
DeleteThe leaves on the moon make for a beautiful shot to me.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, i enjoy your views, and thank you for taking us along.
messymimi: Many thanks.
DeleteLots of good pics again here. I am happy to see the sky pictures!! Those are always so pretty to me. The sky always offers interest, no matter the weather.
ReplyDeletemail4rosey: You will get no arguments from me. Our skies today are blue and cloudfree - almost balmy looking, but the air is chill. Which doesn't detract from the beauty of the sky.
DeleteOh, I love that teddy, my inner child loves all teddies. The murals are cool. Great skies as well. Your moon photo is brilliant. I'd like to paint it one day if I have your permission. Have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteKaren: I would be very happy for you to paint my moon - and would love to see what you make of it.
DeleteI have been enjoying the teddy bear trail in this pandemic, and have smiled to see just how many houses have them.
Wonderful photos! Those murals are badass!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I've done one of these since February. I'd say I'm pathetic (which I probably am) except that I'm rather overwhelmed despite being utterly underwhelming.
The Thylacine: Last Seen 1936
It appears I managed to biff the link. My brain hurts. I'm just going to paste it.
Deletehttp://animalanarchy.blogspot.com/2020/05/ornery-photography-thylacine-last-seen.html
The Ornery Old Lady: The murals are great aren't they? I was really chuffed to see them.
DeleteThank you for a) joining us and b) featuring the Tasmanian Tiger. People still hunt for them, but so far to no avail.
Hi EC - gorgeous range of photos - that mural is so interesting ... one could spend hours looking at it. So glad you had a chance to go back to work ... all the best and stay safe - Hilary
ReplyDeleteHilary Melton-Butcher: I really liked the interactive nature of that mural. As Andrew said, I think it would be hard to resist seeing if you could find things in it. I certainly tried. It is WONDERFUL to be back on the crisis line.
DeleteBuon inizio settimana.
ReplyDeleteGiancarlo: Thank you. I did, and hope you did too.
DeleteI see beauty in the universe, space, people, animals, trees, stars and even the clouds are fascinating. So is love and giving thanks shared a wondrous experience.
ReplyDeleteSpacer Guy: I am a beauty addict and fortunately there is a lot of it about.
DeleteWOW...such stunning photos... aren't those murals amazing? So much talent on display out there...I am truly in awe!!
ReplyDeleteAs always, I adore your sky photos...and especially the fog and moon ones. So atmospheric and mysterious!!
Thank you so much.😊😊
Sending much love and hugs ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ygraine: Many thanks. I am also awed by (and very grateful) the talent of so many artists across a wide range of genres.
DeleteHugs and love to you to - today and every day.
I totally love the moon-leaf tracery photo the best! Took my breath away - thank you.
ReplyDeleteNilanjana Bose: It delighted me when I saw it - and I am very glad that you liked it too.
DeleteThe sign "Be kind, be careful, be not afraid" shall be my motto. I try to remain mindful and not afraid. Thanks for commenting on my recent post.
ReplyDeleteGranny Annie: It was lovely to see you pop up in my reader and I hope to see more posts from you soon (hint hint). And yes, that is a most excellent motto isn't it?
DeleteI love urban art - and those murals are fabulous. The 'search and find' list is a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteJemi Fraser: I was really tickled to see that 'search and find' addition. Street art made interactive.
DeleteDear EC, thank you for what "Jemi" calls "urban art." That's a new term for me and I appreciate it. And thank you also for your constant and continued appreciation of the world around you. My mother would so appreciate you because you live the maxim she gave me eighty years ago: "Dolores, you find what you look for. If you look for good you will find it, and if you look for bad you will surely find that also." I've been trying since I was four or so to look for good. It's made all the difference for me, just as it seems it has for you. Peace.
ReplyDeleteDee: Thank you. I am a big fan of urban/street art. It somehow makes art more accessible. I am a beauty addict and am endlessly grateful that there is so much of it about. There is ugliness (in thought and deed) about as well but choosing to focus on beauty has been a mainstay for me.
DeleteHi EC,
ReplyDeleteGreat sky photos as usual.
:o)
Cheers
PM
Plastic Mancunian: Thank you. I never, ever tire of skyscapes.
DeleteI enjoyed the murals. If only our 'fundamentalists' churches would adopt 'be kind' as their operating principle. I also like 'uniting' in their name.
ReplyDeleteSue in Italia/In the Land of Cancer: Be kind works for me. I am largely ignorant about religion, but uniting is a wonderful principle isn't it? The Uniting Church in Australia was founded on 23 June 1977, when most congregations of the Methodist Church of Australasia, about two-thirds of the Presbyterian Church of Australia and almost all the churches of the Congregational Union of Australia united. They seem to have had success in their union too.
DeleteYour eye! Wow. That last one's mesmerizing.
ReplyDeleteI love those cartoony murals too - they brought a smile to my face.
Thank you, EC.
Take good care.
Rawknrobyn: Many thanks. I am very, very happy to spread smiles. You take care too please. Lots of it.
DeleteMuchas imágenes has logrado en su paseo, desde unos grafittis hasta buenas imágenes de la naturaleza.
ReplyDeleteBesos
VENTANA DE FOTO: Thank you. It was a rich and varied walk - a reflection of some of our rich and varied world.
DeleteStay well, stay safe.
I always enjoy seeing your photographs.
ReplyDeleteThe mural is very colourful and I do like the lacey looking moon.
Hope you are having a good week.
All the best Jan
Lowcarb team member ~Jan: Thank you. I really like seeing murals as I go about my business, they brighten up dull days and dull buildings.
DeleteMy week is busy but fine. I hope you and Eddie have a lovely week.
I love the boarding and would enjoy playing along. The hookah picture made me think of Alice in Wonderland. As usual, lovely sky pictures.
ReplyDeleteJo: There were quite a number of Alice in Wonderland images - and how I loved that book. I thought the murals were fun - and clever. Amazing for what is essentially temporary decoration (though who knows how long before work resumes). I hope you have your car again.
Deletewonderful shots. I enjoyed the murals.
ReplyDeleteLady Fi: The murals made me smile too.
DeleteNice post
ReplyDeleteAsep Rohimat: Thank you.
DeleteThe murals are great!
ReplyDeleteStay safe. Be healthy.
Sandra Cox: They are an improvement on the ugliness of bare boards aren't they? You too stay safe and well.
DeleteEnjoyed all these great photos, thanks so much! I like the Be Kind, Be Careful, Be Not Afraid sign, and the teddy bear. So many here, I like them all.
ReplyDeleteDeniseinVA: Thank you. I am glad you liked them. That church billboard really resonates with me.
DeleteSocu fantastic pictures of the sky. I think we all take it for granted and don't realize the pure beauty of it all. So fun to see the artistic ability that so many have on display. Kudos for continuing to be there for those in domestic violence crisis. Hugs, RO
ReplyDeleteRO: I never, ever tire of the sky. It is early here and I am watching as the first tendrils of dawn spread.
DeleteI am so grateful (so very grateful) that my centre found a way I could continue to contribute).
I hope you are well. Hugs to you too.
The murals are real fun - it would be interesting to see them "for real". My favorite photo in this post is the lone tree - so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCarola Bartz: I look at that tree most mornings at first light and love to see its delicate beauty etched against the horizon.
DeleteWow, those murals have SO much complexity! I wonder how the artists feel when the hoardings are dismantled after construction is complete. Are the murals salvaged?
ReplyDeleteYour photos are beautiful as always - I particularly like your shot of the "leafy moon". Very creative! :-)
Diane Henders: I suspect the murals are scrapped when construction is complete - which makes me mourn.
DeleteAnd thank you. I loved seeing the lacy moon and was so glad that others enjoyed it too.
What a wonderful collection of photos - such a variety. I am not religious either but appreciate the fellowship shown by many congregations and also the message "you are not alone" on a nearby church billboard.
ReplyDeleteLove the tree that is bowed but still reaching for the sky. There's a message there, I think. And the lacy moon - beautiful!
Do you still have to take the bus to get to Lifeline? Are there many riders these days?
jenny_o: Lifeline is still multiple bus trips away. At the moment social distancing on the bus is very, very easy. We can only enter by the back door - to protect the driver, and there are often only one or two passengers. As the city opens up again that wil probably change.
DeleteAs I said to Carola, I look at that tree most mornings. It is quite a distance away and the zoom feature of my camera is called into play. I think it is both elegant and beautiful.
Perhaps that's just the top of the tree, then? and it isn't bowed after all? I love those "landmark" features of nature that are markers for our days and our travel.
Deletejenny_o: It doesn't grow straight but it does reach for the sky. Which I love. And a big yes on the 'landmark' features. Things which sing of home...
DeleteInteractive murals are a great idea! Lovely photos, hope you had a positive shift xx
ReplyDeleteLisa Southard: I have never seen an interactive mural before - and loved it. And thank you. It was a frantically busy shift but I was very glad to be there.
DeleteI love those murals! And I love seeing the bear. We have people in our neighborhood placing bears/stuffed animals in their windows for the kids to find on their daily walks. Now some people are "hiding" them and then gifting them to the kids. It's super sweet.
ReplyDeleteElsie
Elsie Amata: I finally found your new blog site. Yay.
DeleteWe also have a teddy bear trail for the young (and the young at heart). I 'think' that the bears remain in place though.
Stay well, stay safe.
You got some mystical sky shots.
ReplyDeleteHave a great one.
Stay safe. Be healthy.
Sandra Cox: Thank you. I have just been outside taking yet more skyscapes.
DeleteYou too, stay safe, stay well.
Manuel: Many thanks. The international graffit contest sounds like an amazing event, and I am glad that the art continues to decorate the town.
DeleteStay safe, stay well.
Una buona serata e un felice venerdi a te.
ReplyDeleteGiancarlo: Thank you. It is early here (relatively) and chilly but the sun is shining.
ReplyDeleteI hope your day and weekend are lovely.
I'm almost afraid to ask, but I assume the crisis hot line is busier than ever? So many people are troubled these days. It's hard not to be. But, yes, "be not afraid." It's a blessing that your voice is there to help those in need of reassurance.
ReplyDeleteWhoever came up with the idea of painting colorful murals at construction sites deserves a huge pat on the head. It's almost a shame to tear them down once the building is complete.
Know what? Thanks to your enthusiasm and your wonderful posts, I now pine for a place I've never been. You have a talent for highlighting the wonderful things around you. You love where you live, and it shows. The Chamber of Commerce should hire you. :)
Take care, and have a wonderful weekend.
Susan: The crisis line is going gang-busters. Of course. And the increased use is expected to continue for the forseeable future.
DeleteI have been thinking about your comment. To the extent that I closed the post down and wandered off for a bit.
My city is by no means perfect. I am well aware of its faults but choose to focus on the positives. I suspect the Chamber of Commerce would prefer me (and you) to focus on the big ticket (money spinning) side. Tough.
I hope you and Smarticus also have a wonderful, healthy happy weekend. The love and the laughter are a given.
I love the murals, have missed being in blogland. This covid shyte is not easy on any of us. I will do things that bring me joy every single day and your blog is one of them.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, lovely murals.
XO
WWW
Wiswebwoman: Many, many thanks. The thought that I can bring joy is a lovely one.
DeleteHuge hugs.
Peggy walked by, so we looked at the mural photos together. Here in Eugene, Oregon, USA, murals are popular, but they come nowhere near the size and number of yours. It's incredible what you share, and I enjoy it quite a lot.
ReplyDeleteI looked up bearded ravens, and still don't know how they differ from other ravens. Here, sixty miles from the ocean, we have a lot of sea gulls. There are also crows, but I would have to cross the mountains to the desert to find ravens. I don't know why this is so. I think crows are prettier, but Peggy's vote is for ravens.
Snowbrush: I am glad that you and Peggy enjoyed our murals. My city has a lot of them (some of which I love and others which are not to my taste). I particularly liked these because of the way they brighten/beautify a construction site.
DeleteI suspect it is the hackles which give our bearded raven its name which distinguishes it from other ravens. I have other better photos of the beard which I may post on this week's Sunday Selections. We have silver gulls here (also called sea gulls) which have never and probably will never see the sea.
Buon fine settimana.
ReplyDeleteGiancarlo: And to you.
DeleteThe church board is good, the 'Jesus was a refugee' sign is excellent. I have a northern Irish son-in-law who told me that religion is needed to comfort people in times of war caused by religion. Your sky shots are always mesmerising. When I first saw the moon shot I thought it was looking towards light through a tunnel, which is very apt at the moment!
ReplyDeleteKim: Oh the irony encapsulated in your son-in-laws statement.
DeleteAnd yes, I can see the light through a tunnel - which is much more disturbing than a lacy moon (but true of many sentiments at the moment).
oh I meant light at the end of the tunnel in a positive way!
DeleteKim: I am glad. My claustrophic self has problems with tunnels.
DeleteThe murals are creative and full of interesting objects, it is like going through puzzles. Your silhouette of trees are beautiful.
ReplyDeletekestrel: Thank you. I couldn't resist trying to find some of the objects in the billboard - and am a tree hugger from way back. Way, way back.
Deleteawesome article guys .
ReplyDeletehave a nice day :)
Azka Kamil: Thank you. You too.
DeleteYou saw lots of interesting things on your walk to help at the crisis line. I love the murals on the building under construction. Some of the artwork I like more than others- but I think the interactive scavenger hunt from the first one is lots of fun. I liked finding them and imagine others would too! I am always thrilled when I see birds- and that bearded raven is gorgeous. :)
ReplyDeleteThe sky- so many moods! Love the shots! And the last one has a magical feel- it is a really cool photo.
Stay safe!
~Jess
DMS ~Jess: I agree with you. I like some of our public art much more than other pieces, but I am endlessly grateful that it is there.
DeleteI am a bearded raven fan, and take lots and lots of photos of them.
You stay well and safe too - and I am sending healing wishes to your family.
I'll never complain about your bird photos. Or any of the other photos. I was especially struck by the colorful birds, though.
ReplyDeleteIt's been rather a gloomy day and they lifted my spirits a little.
Here is mine.
Striped Rabbit
The Ornery Old Lady: I am sorry you had a gloomy day - and very glad that my photos helped a little.
DeleteI am off to check out your striped rabbit now.
