Sunday Selections was originally brought to us by Kim, of Frogpondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could post previously unused photos languishing in their files. Huge thanks to Cie who gave me this wonderful Sunday Selections image.
The meme was then continued by River at Drifting through life.
Sadly she has now stepped aside (though she will join us some weeks),
and I have accepted the mantle.
The
rules are so simple as to be almost non-existent. Post some photos
under the title Sunday Selections and link back to me. Sorry I still
haven't succeeded in working out how to do a blog hop. Clicking on any of the photos will make them embiggen.
I
usually run with a theme. I am still home. Yay.
I did (of course) have to make repeated trips to the hospital last week. However I also had to go into town which is where much of my focus is this week.
I have featured The Big Swoop before. It was vandalised shortly after it was installed but has been repaired and is now back on display.
And a nearby mural - down an otherwise unappealing alley.
I have also had a roo fix and been revelling in things coming out in the garden.
This coming week will be busy. I have multiple medical appointments and I think I start chemotherapy on Wednesday so I will be largely absent from the blogosphere. I hope your week is packed with colour and joy.

Hi EC - I know I'll be thinking of you ... I'm so pleased you're able to get out and see some enjoyment and pleasure ... your garden will be growing. I think you've been having some rain, but perhaps it's further south - one of cricketers mentioned it!!. As you mention colour and art - always good to see and appreciate, then the roo fix by the lake ... also lovely to be able to get there and see the surroundings. DeleteMagpies remind me of Heckle and Jeckle. We have two huge ravens, we’ve affectionately nicknamed Heckle and Jeckle just because they “heckle” my black lab and she runs around the yard barking at them.

DeleteI hope your week is full of colour and joy EC and I wouldn't hesitate to cuddle that teddy. A precious friend of mine has been having chemotherapy this year and I gave her a little soft toy cat that she still keeps with her in hospital. I'm thinking of you and hope you get to see many blossoms and birds and kangaroos, and that your health steadily improves over the next few weeks.

DeleteThat Bear! I would have hugged him plenty! I love the magpie, which is so much nicer than our giant pigeon, and the mural is so colourful, quite breath taking with the frogs and lizards and whatever that black and grey animal is? looks like a cross between a fox and a possum.

River: Isn't the magpie gorgeous? The bear will be there when I go to the hospital on Monday and Wednesday. Perhaps I will hug him then. I will have to see how chemo treats me but do hope it isn't vile.

Who wouldn't want to hug that bear! Laura made teddy bears for a while and could never part with one. We have lot of bears. They're good company in these scary times. The big magpie and the mural are great. There's something about that huge magpie that makes me think of an early 50's sci-fi movie. Take care of yourself.
